Friend claiming she is pregnant after her partner went half way inside her for 4 seconds and didn’t ejaculate

Is this actually possible?! This is a close friend and in a weird way it’s made me feel distant from her as it clearly seems to be a lie?! Not she’s why it’s bothered me, maybe because I feel like she’s lying and we are very close.

I don't think your friend is lying, OP. I presume she is trying to explain an unexpected pregnancy.

Just another thought. This did happen (because it can happen), your friends surprised and wanted to talk to a ‘friend’ about what happened. Especially as it’s likely not a planned pregnancy.

Also if I thought a friend was lying about a pregnancy, I’d be more concerned about them than feeling distant. In what way does how she got pregnant affect you? Unless she consistently lies all the time, just believe her or shrug it off because either way she’s having a baby.

Also I talk to my friends in this way ALL the time. It’s a bit of a laugh more than anything.

It only takes one stray sperm to get pregnant - I'm not sure why you are so disbelieving of your friend - or is the father someone who she is ashamed of having sex with so she is downplaying what intimacies happened? In any case why not just offer her your support?

Sounds like she’s trying to justify for some reason why she’s pregnant. Not necessary, and I wouldn’t judge her on what she’s said, but would judge on why she felt she needed to say it.

So many people on here relying on their high school ‘it only takes one sperm’ basic fertility education in order to make themselves feel superior....

While it’s technically possible, if you know anything at all about fertility beyond what you were taught at school, you’ll know how the odds of this happening under those circumstances are absolutely tiny. It takes just one sperm to make a baby, but also a ton of other conditions that would all have to be absolutely perfect at exactly that 4 second moment. Even the chances of successful sperm transfer without proper penetration is enough to make this story bullshit.

I doubt she's lying to you - why would she? It's perfectly possible. Unless she has form for fantasising, believe her and don't spoil your friendship.
