Someone threw a milkshake at me and oinked.

I was out for a walk tonight and I decided to try a little jog to see how it felt as I want to try c25k but I'm worried I'm a bit too fat still.

Anyway, I was just jogging along when I saw a car slow down out of the corner of my eye and then a milkshake smacked me in the head. Bloody hurt so I stopped and took out my ear buds and this guy is hanging out of the car window oinking at me.

I was too shocked to say anything to him so I just dipped in to the nearest garden, as if it was my house and I was going home, and the car drove off with the bloke yelling "fat cunt".

It's shook me up a bit, tbh. It was a couple of hours ago and I'm posting it here because I just need to get it off my chest. I keep going from upset to angry but also laughing because who actually does that to someone?! It was absurd.

Ffs that has just given me the rage on your behalf! He is an absolute dick and I'm glad it hasn't put you off running. Honestly the type of person that would do that someone probably isn't ecstatic with the way their own life is going, and that's putting it politely. So at least you aren't him!

I've had objects thrown at me from cars and it was horrible.

Still I have learned that in general the good people outnumber the bad by many times.

What I mean is that it can be a struggle to see that the nasty actions of a minority are just that. Get angry at the bullies and the shitheads but keep your head held high.

Sorry, wasn't clearer. Yes, If I was close to the person, I would now be curious and want to know why.

At roughly age of 21, I can imagine the answer would be "showing off/no reason/trying to get laughs?"

I dont really know now and I'm wondering....
while still pondering the logistics of a whale running

People like that know deep down how inadequate they are, and belittle others to make themselves feel 'bigger'.

His actions are a reflection of the kind of person HE is, and have nothing to do with you, so please don't take this personally.

Nasty little bastard. I know someone who had milk thrown over her, as she was cycling past. It made her swerve and she fell off and cut herself quite badly.

This has happened to me. As a kid. And a friend of mine who isn’t in the least bit fat had it happen to her too.

Some men will look at a woman on the street being her own fabulous self and want to take something away from her. Don’t let this absolute dreg of society and his childish stupidity stop you from finishing c25k. He will always be a useless bastard with very bad life skills and probably several prison sentences. Walk away from this knowing a man saw you on the street and was so jealous of your confidence that he had to try and take some for his own x

I’m so sorry that’s happened to you that’s horrendous. Please know that it isn’t a reflection on you at all, he was just a sad, pathetic loser who was probably snowing off to his friends. I hope he looks back on this and feels awful about it and the guilt eats him up.
You keep doing you, walk, run, skip, hop, whatever you want to do that makes you happy and if anyone has the audacity to comment just know that they must be pretty bloody miserable themselves. You sound great and you’ve handled it a lot better than I have! If you’re up to it please consider telling the police, hopefully there’s cctv and they’ll get done for assault. X

I think some idiots are threatened by people exercising....that they feel guilty for not doing as much exercise as they know they probably should be doing. Then seeing someone exercising triggers their guilt. Add a misogynistic sexist pig into the mix and you get the sort of twat who does stuff like this. A kid threw a milkshake at me from a double decker bus in secondary school. And I‘ve been egged before from a car by strangers. Honestly I wouldn’t overthink it. Immature idiots throw things from cars and heckle at people sometimes, don’t take it personally. Well done for the jogging, keep it up.

God that's awful OP, and others it's happened to. Thankfully I've never experienced anything like this but I know it would really upset me if it did.

People can be wonderful but also can be extremely awful. Unfortunately you happen to experience the latter.

I'd probably report it to the police, maybe not in the expectation anything would happen but sort of as a feeling that I'd done something and it might make me feel a bit better. You never know, they might have CCTV, or other reports of similar.
