After watching a documentary about dangerous wild animal licenses in the uk I came across this www.bornfree.org.uk/dwamap thought others might be interested it shows in every council in the uk what wild animas are living in peoples homes that have licenses Cornwall from my browsing seems to have rediculous amounts of big cats I’m guessing from private zoos thought others unable to sleep might be interested. Smile

A domestic cheetah? That's an oxymoron surely😳

You should have seen the cat I saw. He wanted to kill me, his owner, kids and sharks! (Probably) He was big enough and inclined to. No way you could keep him in a house with kids.

The camels in Enfield are likely to be the ones at Paradise Wildlife Park - it's a family-run zoo.

There are a fuckton of Servals in my area Hmm

ScrambledSmegs · 26/05/2021 12:43

Actually there are loads in my area. To my knowledge there are no small zoos in the area (one big one though). How is this allowed?

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 26/05/2021 12:46

Hello to all the County Durham residents👋🏼 Wondering where the bison are. Obviously doesn’t extend to creepy crawlers as my son’s ridiculous collection of spiders isn’t mentioned. Or his gf.

wendywoopywoo222 · 26/05/2021 12:49

We have 200 wild boar.

motogogo · 26/05/2021 12:57

Well the only animals here are zebras and wild asses, neither strike me as dangerous really, I think they are trainable

damndorothea · 26/05/2021 12:59

This isn't reassuring at all. Caiman croc?!

If anyone else is in Cambridgeshire - I've found the home of all animals listed except for the servals! There's a zero-waste farm called Johnson's of old hurst (in Huntingdon)! The crocs help with waste disposal apparently?? Mental. They also have Puma's, snakes and ostriches!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 26/05/2021 13:14

One cheetah.

Which I think is quite enough!

theemmadilemma · 26/05/2021 13:15

Bengal and a serval. I was if the serval is used to breed Savannah's.

TheQueef · 26/05/2021 13:18

Mad the one I met in Rovverum was used to breed Savannah.
He was F1 (or summat) and the savannah kits £8000 that's whole, great british, sterling, pound notes Shock

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 26/05/2021 13:18

Cornwall is off my holiday list!

Although looking at the animals I wonder if it's a private zoo?

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 26/05/2021 13:19

None in my city but rest of my area has rattle snakes, cobras, leopard.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 26/05/2021 13:21

Oh and city I work in 16 ostrict Grin

Not dangerous? Zebra trainable? I don't see anyone riding them!

I put a link earlier on. They are near Bishop Middleham / Ferryhill. It's a farm.
QioiioiioQ · 26/05/2021 13:26

Keeping these dangerous predators as pets, it's all about ego, 'look at me Tarzan, lord and master of the wild animals'
Same with the weaponized dogs

toocold54 · 26/05/2021 13:43

Wow I live in Cornwall and never would have expected so many!
The ‘beast of Bodmin moor’ which people think is a big cat may actually exist!

Thanks for posting this OP!

Hoppinggreen · 26/05/2021 13:48

Apparently there are 5 Bengal cats near me
There are 2 next door and I didn’t think a licence was required as Bengals are cats

Hoppinggreen · 26/05/2021 13:48

I mean just domestic cats

CuriousaboutSamphire · 26/05/2021 13:49

I know the alligator keeper close ish to me. I think they may also be the poisonous snake and ostrich owner Smile

The alligator is their last, they had 3. They were rescues and had nowehere else to go so they built pens for them and kept them until they died! He is experienced, it wasn't a whim!

CuriousaboutSamphire · 26/05/2021 13:50

@MiniLeopardInTheHouse

Not my own area, but just a google of the result for 'Cannock Chase lions, tiger' brings up a whole swathe of sadness for those creatures. As pps have said, there are Born Free and PETA petitions available to sign.
Please don't encourage PETA! Ever! For anything!
