What’s on your Good Friday menu?

We’re sticking with tradition so serving fish. Cod with a bacon crumb cooked on tomatoes, peppers onion and capers with herby cous cous and garlic tenderstem broccoli. Minimal input required for tasty result!

We started with a bacon butty, after a long hard walk.
We're having Chinese take away tonight. An unusual treat for us, but I'm pleased because I'm still knackered from the walk!

Barbecue of lobster, salmon and prawn kebabs and scallop and chorizo kebabs, with whelks on the side. Grilled English asparagus (hurray!), homemade coleslaw, salad and pesto couscous on the side.

I have friends coming over, one of whom doesn’t eat fish so I’m doing the Persian lamb which was recommended on another thread recently. Served with cous cous and roasted veg, halloumi, flatbreads and dips.
Plus some blinis to start so we at least get some fish

Normally we have fish pie made by DH but he is not feeling up to cooking and I am rubbish at white sauce so am making kedgeree. We do have some delicious home made hot cross buns he made yesterday.

We never have fish on good Friday and don't eat lamb on Easter Sunday either

Fish cakes, chips or wedges, peas and salad, loads of tartare sauce.
I've had mushrooms, spinach and poached egg for lunch so meat free good Friday looks likely, if unintentional.
