How many rings do you wear? (Engagement, wedding etc)

Since getting engaged and having a ring on my finger I have noticed rings on other women's fingers too, ranging from people I know to colleagues to strangers on public transport etc.

I have noticed a whole range from just a plain wedding band or engagement ring, engagement + wedding ring combo, some beautiful rings with small gems all round (forget what its called) to numerous rings on both hands (often on both ring fingers).

So curious to ask all you mumsnetters, whats on your fingers and is there a meaning behind each?

I'll start.. Just 1 ring for me, a solitaire engagement ring. I'm toying between the idea of a plain wedding band or eternity ring or both...(?)

Wedding and 1 I had made after our DD was born.
I loved it when I designed and had it made 20 years ago.
Now, not so much. I think it’s a bit vulgar. 14 diamonds and a ruby

Engagement- emerald cut sapphire with diamonds on the shoulders.
Plain slim wedding band.

I wear my engagement ring - platinum diamond solitaire - and my wedding ring. Wedding ring is eternity style with diamonds halfway round on a platinum band. I love them together - simple engagement ring with diamond wedding band. Married a couple of years and still love the novelty of it.

I love yellow gold too, so plan on getting a gold eternity ring for my other hand when I have DCs. Also toying with getting myself a cocktail ring to celebrate a recent achievement - I like the idea of a big gemstone

4, my Grans wedding ring, my wedding ring, engagement ring and eternity ring.

None during lockdown as not going anywhere and cant be arsed. Normally an eternity band on left ring finger and a Sheila Fleet silver "wave" design on my right ring finger.

None, half way through divorce!

Just my wedding ring usually. I'm not much of a ring person. I don't have an eternity ring.

My beautiful engagement ring is too small now (after 32 years) and needs resizing, but I sometimes wear it on my little finger.

I occasionally wear an inherited engagement ring with my wedding band because it's pretty, very different to my own and has huge sentimental value.

I have a few fabulous, sparkly cocktail rings and I'll sometimes wear one on my right hand if I feel like a bit of bling.

To those of you who wear multiple - do you stack them all up on the same finger?

Three. Solitaire engagement ring. Moulded wedding ring. Diamond band eternity ring.

I wear wedding, eternal & engagement rings on my left hand then one on the middle finger of my right hand - I’m a bit of a jewellery fanatic! At the mo I leave them off though as my fingers are a bit swollen for some reason 🥲

Engagement ring which will become my wedding ring, just turned around. Its a ‘plain’ platinum band with hidden diamonds like the photo. I have a thin stainless steel ring on my pinky finger that I wear when I can’t wear my stainless steel Kara.

1. I hate the feel of rings. I've got no intention of getting married, but if I do I won't wear a ring.

I wear 2 daily, my engagement ring and wedding band (actually a full eternity ring as the plain bands didn't work with my engagement ring)

On a night out I will usually also wear a thumb ring (always only on my left hand though)

None, and I am married. I just don't like the feeling of rings and think them unhygienic, also.

Everyday, just my wedding ring (two colour gold). When dressed up, my engagement ring as well. Now, when I need courage or other moments, I wear my mums engagement ring on the other hand. I have short stubby fingers and rings don't really suit me

1. Engagement ring (18ct gold, Princess cut diamond), wedding ring (18ct gold, 'smile' of 5 tiny diamonds) and eternity-ish band (18ct, 3 small diamonds).

Engagement ring was purchased when we were students. Small, but I can't bare to have it replaced. Eternity-ish ring was after the birth of our DD, when the other two were too big, to help hold them in place.

All Chanel set/rubover design, as I use my hands a lot in my job, and catch anything with a claw grip.

One. A diamond and platinum eternity ring I bought myself. I wear it on my middle finger, right hand. If I ever got married I'd probably just get it resized for my ring finger, I wouldn't want to wear more than one.

Now I'm wondering, can you resize an eternity ring? I guess they could take a diamond out. Highly unlikely to ever be a problem as I am very happy being unmarried.

I have an engagement ring somewhere and didn't want a wedding ring.

I don't do jewelry.

Just my wedding ring (plain platinum band) and a trilogy ring (diamond and sapphire, claw set, platinum band). Hoping to add a sapphire eternity band later this year.

I'm currently wearing 2 engagement rings on one finger and a Pandora ring on my other hand

1 engagement ring is the one dp bought. The other is one I inherited and will be the one I wear with my wedding ring if our wedding ever happens, 2nd date approaching

It's currently too big hence wearing one in front. I'll get it re-sized by the jeweller when we pick up our wedding bands.
