How many rings do you wear? (Engagement, wedding etc)

Since getting engaged and having a ring on my finger I have noticed rings on other women's fingers too, ranging from people I know to colleagues to strangers on public transport etc.

I have noticed a whole range from just a plain wedding band or engagement ring, engagement + wedding ring combo, some beautiful rings with small gems all round (forget what its called) to numerous rings on both hands (often on both ring fingers).

So curious to ask all you mumsnetters, whats on your fingers and is there a meaning behind each?

I'll start.. Just 1 ring for me, a solitaire engagement ring. I'm toying between the idea of a plain wedding band or eternity ring or both...(?)

Four. Right hand, a signet ring that 's been in my family for at least 4 generations (my Dad passed it to me when I was 18, and I've never taken it off since) and a celtic type ring my husband bought me.Left hand my wedding ring and my mum's. (She couldn't wear it in later years, and when she died I inherited it-I slipped it on my finger to bring home, and left it there.) It sits above my own ring.

3 - wedding, engagement and eternity. My engagement and wedding rings aren't my original ones, we were skint when we got married and we upgraded our wedding rings on our 5th anniversary and my engagement ring on our 25th. The styles are the same just heavier weight wedding rings and a bigger diamond in my engagement!
