Council Tax- how much is yours

I’ve read that council tax outside of London can be more expensive than inside, so I’m being nosy having just got my new bill.

I’ll start:
London, 3 bed terrace £1691.52 (or £169 over 10
Months)

Bloody extortionate imo!

Monmouthshire 4 bed detached £3600, band H. Still in shock!

Down south. 4 bed detached. £280 a month

Leeds, band G, £3,100 (ish)

Cotswolds 5 bed terrace, £1756 for the. Year

North East (reported to be one of the most expensive councils, don't know if that's true) I haven't actually received my bill yet, which will be interesting when I have to pay on 1st April won't it?
It'll be around £100 a month I reckon though, judging on last year's and the increase, band A 3 bed flat, single person discount (20%)

What we get for that though, is a completely different conversation!

£2,322. Old house with leaking roof and mice, outside a village in North Lincolnshire. Worth about £250,000 at a push.

No bus service. No amenities. Bins emptied once a week (recycling/waste alternatively).

That seems to be it. And I'm pretty shocked if you can pay less in London, to be honest. I thought it was supposed to be based on value of house!

Mycomfyplacetochill Surrey seems to be very high!

Wiltshire, 3 bed semi band C £1700 or £1800 a year.
Previous property we just moved from 2 bed band A £1200 per year. Same council.

My bill only came today so my April due date says 15th not the 1st

South Wales Torfaen. £212 per month over 10 months. Plus £70 for water. 😩

Cornwall, 3 bed detached. £2160

Used to be under 3k so was a bit of a shock that it started with a 3! It's a 5 bed semi.

Hampshire, three bed semi, £168 per month over 10 months

Suffolk. 4 bed 1700 ish

£125/month over 12 months. 3 bedroom end terrace. Loughborough, Leics

West Yorkshire too!

South coast, £190/month for band C

Just under £120 per month. Cumbrian coast.

Worcestershire. About £220 a month for a 4 bed detached house.

3 bed end of terrace in Glasgow £2350 but water included.

Bucks. 4 bed. Band G. £3300. No street lights, no public services within 3 miles, no free school buses to catchment schools, public buses almost non-existent.

Cornwall. 5 bed semi detached £1886.

3 bed semi in Kent, I think it's £246 a month now!
