Vaccinated? Did you get a card?

I (happily) know a lot of people who've been vaccinated know. All of them seem to have been given a card with a batch number, an information sheet, and were given instructions not to drive for 15 minutes. I had none of these. I'm just interested if it really is just my GP (how it feels) that haven't given these out, and whether I should be querying it.

Everyone I know has been given a card and information sheet. I wasn't told to wait for 15 mins though.

Yeah, we got both - although we weren’t told not to drive as we’d walked.

You'd think, but it was my GP surgery which was empty, I got in 20 mins early as I'd come from work

Yes, we got cards and an information leaflet. Our vaccination centre were only doing the 15 mins wait for those who were driving.

And then I got in my car and drove home and have now been told my insurance would had been invalid while I did that (not sure if that's true)

Yes. I got a card, the info leaflet and the opportunity to wait for 15 mins. At my second jab the card was updated and I got another info sheet.

Yes I got all that, although the advice was to sit down for a minimum of 5 minutes and even then that was only if I was driving/cycling home.

I wasn't so I left straight away.

I had both but got the impression that the 15 minutes was only because I was driving. Not sure how you would insist on a card if they’d run out (as I believe some places did). All the information is recorded centrally anyway.

I got a card, but there was no suggestion of waiting 15 mins. I think they were glad for people to leave so that others could park. It was busy!

I got a card with batch number and was told not to drive for 15 minutes, this was at a Vacination centre perhaps if your GP does it they keep the info on your records?

I got a card and info sheet (no sticker 😔). No sit down (straight out back door of surgery onto pavement), no instruction not to drive or anything (they wouldn’t know I’d walked the mile or so to the surgery), I did ask a about alcohol as I’d head some people say you couldn’t drink and was told absolutely no reason to avoid alcohol, just carry on as normal. No second appointment yet.

I had a card, information sheet about the vaccine and a leaflet. My DH who went two weeks later didn't get a leaflet as they had ran out.

I had the AZ apparently you can leave straight away after that one. It's the Pfizer one you have to wait 15 minutes.

My mum was told you only get a card if you have it done at a vaccination centre. She had hers done at her workplace so didn't get one

I was given a card but it was tucked inside the leaflet so I don't find it till I got home a rifled through my backpack.

The 15 minute wait was interesting - I asked about it and the supervisor person said, 'Only for the Pfizer jab, not for this one [AZ],' which was news to me.

I was done at work alongside other staff and residents, none of us got one.

What is the card for? I have one and don’t know what to do with it. Surely it won’t be used as proof of anything eg a vaccine passport, as it would be so easy to forge
