Just that really? If you got a pay increase and/or a bonus this year...what sector do you work in?

OP posts:
JoyOrbison · 16/03/2021 15:09

Finance. But I am the lowest if the low and got a £240 bonus and a £180 annual raise! Grin

sluj · 16/03/2021 15:10

Not for profit sector. No pay rise. What's a bonus??

Bingbangbingbangbong · 16/03/2021 15:13

Private healthcare company (outpatient procedures)

Our bonus scheme was suspended for 2 quarters and then came back once we were allowed to operate again. Usual quarterly bonus, Christmas bonus, ‘thanks for working whilst everyone else was furloughed’ bonus and a special additional month salary top off bonus from some partners who were bought out of the business.

Lorieandrews · 16/03/2021 15:14

Yes. IT

Glitterb · 16/03/2021 15:16

Construction. Payrise as I have had a promotion within the company but we all got a generous bonus as well.

IveMadeAHugeMistake · 16/03/2021 15:16

I'm in TV (nothing glamorous or highly paid!) and actually did get a very small raise and bonus

SpikeDearheart · 16/03/2021 15:16

Christmas bonus and inflation-linked raise - pharma.

Rainbowdino · 16/03/2021 15:20

Raise of 1.5% (public sector-ish)
No news on bonus yet, union reckon we won’t get one

sluj · 16/03/2021 15:22

I'm interested to know what public sector-ish job has a bonus? Are you a contractor or something similar?

flappityflippers1 · 16/03/2021 15:24

Me - Baby product industry - Christmas bonus (no raise but not been there a year yet)

DH works in SEO/PPC and got a Christmas bonus, plus his usual commission. Requested pay rise, told not right now but later this year it will be reviewed.

Comefromaway · 16/03/2021 15:24

Construction. We do a lot of work in prisons, hospitals & care homes and worked throughout lockdowns.

Overthinkingalways · 16/03/2021 15:25

rise (2.8%) bonus £6k (around half of what it should have been as linked to % of earnings & company performance)

Construction - (I'm not site based)

Corrag · 16/03/2021 15:27

No announcement re payrise yet but I did get a bonus of approx 10% of my salary. Financial services.

Soubriquet · 16/03/2021 15:30

Yes actually.

I work in a supermarket and I’ve been given an extra 20p an hour (already over minimum wage anyway) and a 1% bonus

Trisolaris · 16/03/2021 15:30

Me- last financial year got small bonus but no pay rise due to covid, this year waiting for confirmation but looks to be other way round. (Financial services)

DP - got both, also financial services but FTSE 250 company and covid unaffected.

Parkandride · 16/03/2021 15:33

Food industry - full bonus and 1% payrise.

DH got 50% of his possible bonus and no payrise. Pharma industry heavily affected by cancellation of none essential medical care.

MrsFin · 16/03/2021 15:37

Not for profit, mutual organisation.
No pay rise, no bonus. But a one of goodwill gesture to everyone below a certain grade of £100 just before Christmas.

LarsErickssong · 16/03/2021 15:39

Accountancy, we got a 1% bonus at Xmas instead of the usual Xmas do and various other events that were cancelled last year (all would've been 3 course meal and free bars) bit as standard we don't get bonuses.

Passthewinebottle · 16/03/2021 15:39

Finance. No pay rise & no bonus - usually £5k-ish in June. Hoping this June will bring one!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 16/03/2021 15:41

PA in finance - the senior staff didn’t get a bonus but my company (small company) felt they would pay the bonus to the support staff - very grateful!

LarsErickssong · 16/03/2021 15:41

Also should have added no annual pay rise (usually 1-2%) apart from for trainees as they have a different contract.

cirrusminor · 16/03/2021 15:41

Pay-rise last year (5.5%), expecting similar from next month and also whole company got double bonus. Work in tech and yes I realise I'm very fortunate.

notdaddycool · 16/03/2021 15:46

Not for profit and have requested no pay rises, haven’t been told final decision yet but not expecting one.

MsBubbles85 · 16/03/2021 15:46

Bonus this year (lower than last year) and also a promotion which came with a pay rise. If I hadn't had the promotion I would not have had the pay rise. I work in Finance/IT

TheNemesisOfLame · 16/03/2021 15:50

IT/Finance: nothing last year at all.
This year expectations are being managed to a modest increase (suspect less than 2%) and no bonus.
