Just that really? If you got a pay increase and/or a bonus this year...what sector do you work in?

I have had two pay rises (one linked to a promotion, one a yearly performance review). In total an increase of around 50%. No cash bonus, but awarded ~50k shares.

I work in a tech company. Our shares and pay reviews have carried on as usual, I feel very lucky this year compared to many around me (and it has helped negate the impact of DH's job being lost thank you Covid, without any redundancy pay as he hadn't been there long).

emmathedilemma · 17/03/2021 11:45

Don't know yet, we get notified of ours at the end of the month and pay rises effective from April onwards. I hope we get something given we've worked damn hard in the last year and business performance seems to be good.

MyAnacondaMight · 17/03/2021 13:57

Inflation linked pay rise and a 20% bonus, which is on the lower side of average (due to lower profits this year).

I work for a large financial services company.

Dh got £60k .. IT

Pay freeze where I work, publishing broadly. The pandemic has suppressed demand for professional information. The bonus was so small it barely registered.

Cyber security

cwtchesandprosecco · 17/03/2021 18:40

Bonus of £1200 and a raise of 1%. To be fair, because of the way our system works this was in train before the pandemic so they had to see it through, I doubt we’ll be getting one next year.

EdersonsSmileyTattoo · 17/03/2021 20:01

DH (Senior Global Procurement Condultant in IT) got a very nice rise and 100% of his bonus because his (Dutch) company did so well last year, even through Covid.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 17/03/2021 20:05

Health & Social Care Charity- 1% (plus 1% for the lowest paid).

Bonuses are vanishingly rare.

WatermelonKisses · 17/03/2021 20:07

Yes. Travel/marketing so very surprising

Cherrysherbet · 17/03/2021 20:12

Retail. Bonus £600 in total. Pay rise 30p per hour. They took away our savings scheme though.....that was our best perk.

ItsLikeSputnik · 17/03/2021 20:12

Work in retail (supermarket) and got both.
Bonus was doubled for the year and an 8.5% pay rise. Our bonus structure has now been scrapped though, so our payment this month was our last.

Aiguablava · 17/03/2021 20:13

I work in an office job for a retail company and got a 10k raise but only because I handed in my notice to go elsewhere and they matched the salary to keep me. Luckily I work in a role that they have historically had trouble recruiting for so if I left it would have caused them massive issues. I never expected them to make a counter offer though based on the financial situation at the moment and I'm sworn to secrecy about it.

rwalker · 17/03/2021 20:15

utillties 1.5% pay rise business has done ok/good through covid ( in previous years when company not done so well nothing).

Other arms of the company which have struggled last year no pay rise and looks like redundancies .

ABitOfAShitShow · 17/03/2021 20:17

Financial services of sorts (but I personally don’t do anything to do with that). Good bonus. Standard pay rises of 1% this year which is a lot lower than usual.
