Just that really? If you got a pay increase and/or a bonus this year...what sector do you work in?

OP posts:
pitterpatterrain · 16/03/2021 17:37

Consulting - bonus, and pay rise just over 7%

Sexnotgender · 16/03/2021 17:38

Not at bonus time yet but I got a 10% pay rise.

Work in consultancy.

minniemoocher · 16/03/2021 17:38

Laid off - events

Dp huge bonus, makes ppe!

Onedropbeat · 16/03/2021 17:44

Both DH and I are in Construction

His company gave generous pay rises and bonuses

My employers halted pay rises and bonuses which i an annoyed about as it was payable based on the previous years profits which was the best yet and I was due a decent amount

It’s meant I have decided not to stick around there as they have generally abused furlough and used Covid as an excuse wherever possible

Spillanelle · 16/03/2021 17:47

Engineering sector in an HR role.

Been a mixed bag this year. Got a 50% pay rise early in the year as I took a big promotion, but then had to move to 80% pay for 6 months, then was given a £1000 bonus at Christmas. It’s looking likely that we’ll do 4 or 5% for an across the board pay rise this summer.

LadyDanburysCane · 16/03/2021 17:49

I work in school (admin not teacher), no pay increase this year, hours reduced so actually a pay cut.

DH is civil service, no pay rise this year or last year, probably not next year either.

Neither of us ever get bonuses.

NeedToGetOuttaHere · 16/03/2021 17:51

Me £20 bonus, I’m a private carer.
DH 40k bonus, 10k rise - banker.

Azerothi · 16/03/2021 17:52

Pay rise and a bonus. I work for a sex hookup site for married people mainly.

Alexandernevermind · 16/03/2021 17:53

Own company (essential service). My costs have increased but I know I won't be able to pass those increases to my customers, so pay cut.

sluj · 16/03/2021 17:55

I am truly shocked at some of the substantial pay rises some of you have had. I think the biggest one I have ever had was 1.5% and nothing for several years now. I work in the third sector but in an area formerly public sector.
I hope you all have wonderful plans for your payrises and bonuses Smile

HettySunshine · 16/03/2021 17:56

Pay rise and a small bonus. I work in property law.

StCharlotte · 16/03/2021 17:57

Legal.

Reviews are done in April but last April no one knew what would happen so no reviews. We shall see this year as we've been manic.

Surprisingly generous Christmas bonus.

We get an inflation pay rise but I also get texts from a my providers (eg. Phone contract etc) that they are putting up their prices. I usually spend April culling direct debits To ensure I have the same amount of disposable income.
BeautyQueenIamNot · 16/03/2021 18:39

Haha what’s a pay rise I work for local government I’m not even sure we will get cost of living this year 🤷‍♀️

Dh got his Christmas bonus and should get a 3-5% pay rise

Imisspeg · 16/03/2021 18:44

Finance pay rise and a bonus am very fortunate

Purplewithred · 16/03/2021 18:44

Not for profit, 1.5% pay rise.

imnottoofussed · 16/03/2021 18:49

Payroll. I got a raise of approx £3000 which is the biggest one I've ever had, starts April 2021. It has been the most difficult year I've experienced and the furlough calculations haven't ended yet

claireb7rg · 16/03/2021 18:50

2% payrise and better than expected bonus (sort of almost made up for not getting one last year)
FMCG / consumer health

mindutopia · 16/03/2021 18:51

We don't get bonuses in my industry, but I did get a small raise. I work in higher ed. To be fair, it's been shit. No key worker places even though we are classed as 'key workers' and still trying to hold together COVID-related clinical research and teaching and supervising students who have really struggled with remote learning and their mental health this year. All while trying to hold it together at home with two kids and homeschooling.

MirandaWest · 16/03/2021 18:54

1% payrise - work in education. We all got £30 worth of Christmas present (I chose a magazine subscription)

BurgundyBells · 16/03/2021 18:54

Major UK bank.
1% pay rise. 2020's annual bonus was 6% of annual salary.

orangejuicer · 16/03/2021 18:55

Civil service - pay rise, bonuses not applicable.

FredaFox · 16/03/2021 18:57

Recruitment (non sales role though) no pay rise though they are rare and not guaranteed anyway
Bonus, well I have a scheme but it’s dependent on the company hitting budget so not had anything in 3 years and if I did it would be 500-1000.
I think in the current climate anybody is very lucky to get a bonus or pay rise
The front line nhs and police deserve something more than 1%. Its been a tough year for them. The admin staff shouldn’t get it. Give it to those putting their live at risk

Thesagacontinues · 16/03/2021 18:59

Finance - got a 'title promotion' with a 18% rise.

Got a 4% bonus.

drainrat · 16/03/2021 19:00

No pay rise but did get a bonus equivalent to the 25 days’ holiday entitlement nobody took last year. Manufacturing management.
