Just that really? If you got a pay increase and/or a bonus this year...what sector do you work in?

Getting my measly 1% increase plus normal increment this year (NHS) DH isn’t getting a payrise this year that I’m aware of but is getting a bonus. They haven’t been told how much but he believes it will be around £1600 (MOD)

starbrightstarlight8888 · 16/03/2021 20:39

I got bonus and pay rise. I work in finance.

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 16/03/2021 20:43

Pay increase - training provider with local council

FrenchyQ · 16/03/2021 20:47

No payrise but did get a Christmas bonus. I work in a medical field

thismeansnothing · 16/03/2021 20:53

Work for a particular supermarket where for the first time in a long time we aren't getting our annual bonus.

We get yearly pay increases after a performance review anyway and to make up for lack of bonus us on lower wages are getting a bigger increase in hourly rate which for me works out at 5%

joeysapple · 16/03/2021 20:59

Less than 1% pay rise - think it was 0.6%. No bonus. Just happy to have a secure job at this point!

nevernotstruggling · 16/03/2021 20:59

I got a very slight pay increase plus a cost of living rise and an increment. We are pay frozen again afaik. I've been a local authority sw for 12 years - this was my first vague rise.

nevernotstruggling · 16/03/2021 21:00

But very grateful to have secure employment though it's been a very hard year.

SomeRandomerOnBumsnet · 16/03/2021 21:14

Finance (EA at a hedge fund)

PaperMonster · 16/03/2021 21:17

Public sector. No pay rise again. But £200 one-off payment.

Daisychainsandglitter · 16/03/2021 21:20

Got decent bonus and pay rise- financial services.

Jojo19834 · 16/03/2021 21:22

Finance in real estate, last year 10% pay cut and no bonus. This year no pay rise and very small bonus

RaphaTwat · 16/03/2021 21:29

I’ve taken on an extra function so they gave me a 30% rise else it’s usually 5% annually.

Received a bonus of 25% of my salary (which went straight into my pension)

I am very fortunate. I work in defence and aerospace (not public sector)

Alarae · 16/03/2021 22:02

Find out at the end of the month if there will be any rises which were delayed from October.

They align to market rates so I imagine it might be anything between a 5-10% rise going by current job adverts.

PurpleWh1teGreen · 16/03/2021 22:05

Some people clapped for us...

ceeveebee · 16/03/2021 22:07

Digital retailing. No pay rise but a substantial % of my salary in shares.

therocinante · 16/03/2021 23:01

15% raise (individual to me, not company performance or across the board), don't get bonuses. That's unusual though, most years it's 2-3%.

therocinante · 16/03/2021 23:01

Oh should add, work in media.

Tr1skel1on · 16/03/2021 23:43

I can confirm if you work part time cleaning a primary school you get absolutely nothing extra. Nowt, nothing, sweet FA.

All you people with your huge payrises and bonuses, please remember this next time you visit your child's school and it's spotless.

Anyone would think a school cleaner might be important in a global pandemic, obviously not, bankers deserve a lot more pay

Thank you - and actually a massive thank you for all cleaners. The NHS certainly couldn’t have managed without cleaners this past year.

Though not a total surprise, this has been an illuminating thread for sure.

iluvpickles · 17/03/2021 08:44

Well nothing so far but we were due our increase in October. Budget has 2% in it but obvs they are struggling to get it through. I work in finance but Public sector it's usually 1% think last one was 1.5% woohoo 😆 Bonus also pathetic it's a few hundred quid if u meet ur performance review and then it's pro data for me as I work part time. After tax I think I'm lucky to get £100, they may as well not bother!

I used to get 10-12% of salary in my previous job 😕

Cloudhopping · 17/03/2021 08:58

Private healthcare here-no raise or bonus but I did get a Xmas present of a face mask and some vitamin d. Living the dream.

QueenPaw · 17/03/2021 09:05

No pay rise
Commission earned as usual
£100 Amazon vouchers for all staff for a "tough year"
Car industry

DoThePropeller · 17/03/2021 11:38

30% pay rise, modest bonus, lowest I’ve had in about a decade.

Corporate headhunter.
