And it was literally the only thing that would shift my menstrual headaches 😩

The original Syndol contained paracetamol, codeine, caffeine and doxylamine succinate. They have pulled this off the shelves (no idea why) and they have now released a new version of Syndol which just contains paracetamol, codeine and caffeine (so basically the same as Solpadeine Max).

The doxylamine succinate must have been the secret ingredient as Solpadeine doesn’t even touch my menstrual headaches.

Ive been taking it for years with no ill effects so I have no idea why they have changed it.

I’m so cross and now dreading my next period without it

Chemist4u too,... now saying no more stock until 14th October, so fingers crossed they'll have some more stock. I think I got a couple of boxes the moment they were released!

I've been making do with separate Co codamol and doxylamine succinate tablets off the internet, but the pills are a really high dose and too small to chop up.

Has anyone found any yet (apart from the Chemist4u)? I've been in a few chemists over the past week and none of them knew it was coming back. The younger assistants don't even know what I'm talking about because most of them can't even remember the original Syndol

About the 30 packs, the updated leaflet mentions them, so I said this to Chemist4U. They told me they're "hoping to receive stock, but unfortunately don't have an expected delivery date as yet."
Another site that I found on google (I forget which) who had the 10s, and I sent the same query about the 30s, they didn't know the difference between the 'proper' /original forumula we all want, and the ones that are no different to the dozens of type of basic co-codamol available everywhere. I didn't persue the query!
