Dead Bloom & Wild Flowers

MrsAmaretto · 13/03/2021 18:19

Anyone else received an awful box of flowers from Bloom & Wild today?

I've had their flowers before but this time they are crushed, broken and going brown. I've actually cried, which is silly but what should have been something to make me smile looks like is needs to go in the bin.

As I said, I've had their flowers before but these are not going to perk up!

Message them on FB, I was really disappointed with my mum's flowers, they asked for a picture but sent a replacement straight away. Which also weren't great... Got Cornish blooms instead for tomo, they are so nice!

TheLaughingGenome · 13/03/2021 18:21

Mine looked dead but I followed the instructions and they ... bloomed.

Jobsharenightmare · 13/03/2021 18:23

Mine have often arrived or been delivered looking sick but recover quickly.

My daughter has sent me some and they arrived on Thursday. I put them straight into water and followed all their instructions. Some of the blooms are still as dead as anything. Sad

SmidgenofaPigeon · 13/03/2021 18:27

My friend was mortified because she sent me some after a miscarriage and they were dead. The delivery was delayed and they’d spent about 48 hours in a van in the heatwave.

Bloom and Wild advised putting them in water and they’d ‘perk up’ or they could send more out if I’d prefer Hmm my friend did get them to send another and they were much nicer. But putting dried dead flowers in a vase to bring them back to life at that time actually gave us a bit of a laugh at a bleak time (but we have weird black humour)

I don’t think they’re quite as good as they were a year or so ago.

My M&S order for my mum for tomorrow still says 'awaiting dispatch' Confused

sausagepastapot · 13/03/2021 18:30

I have had a rubbish bunch this week. I emailed them and they sent a replacement the next day.

Holyforkingshirtball · 13/03/2021 18:30

I ended up cancelling my subscription with them (and got a refund) because 3 of my first 4 boxes had snapped, crushed & dead flowers in them.

They were very good about giving the refund, I filled in the online form with photos.

To be fair I bought my mum a subscription at the same time and all of hers (7 in now) have been great - I'm obviously just jinxed.

Morethanjustanurse · 13/03/2021 18:31

B&W have very good customer service in fairness to them and will replace.

M&S flowers are without exception disappointing and that includes my wedding bouquet from them.

Plump82 · 13/03/2021 18:31

I got my mum a flowers from here years ago and they were do disappointing. I complained and they sent out more but they werent much better. Not used them again.
The websites Bunches are much better.

flatcoatfan · 13/03/2021 18:33

I received Bloom and Wild flowers yesterday and they're beautiful. One stem was a little wilted but soon perked up in water.

StocksAndScares · 13/03/2021 18:35

Try Freddie's Flowers. I've never had a bad bunch from them.

MrsAmaretto · 13/03/2021 18:36

These aren't a little wilted, they are brown, crushed like they've been in a flower press and 2 of the snap dragons are totally snapped!

So disappointed, I've used them numerous times and received them as gifts about 6 times a year.

I've never had an issue with bloom and wild, let's see what my mum's are like tomorrow! I've been using them for work and not had any had feedback (yet!)
I've had terrible flowers from Appleyard, their customer service was shocking, couldn't care less.
I tried freddies twice and was disappointed but my boss swears by them. Whoever mentioned Bunches, I received some for my birthday last year and didn't rate them but will take another look.
M&S always been decent.

Same, it’s getting late now.
inmylifeIlovedthemall · 13/03/2021 18:38

Have stopped using them because of poor quality on the occasions when I did use them.

Email and complain. They will replace but not apologise.

Arrowheart · 13/03/2021 18:39

I won't be using them again after the last delivery of dead and dry flowers that sent.

Unreasonabubble · 13/03/2021 18:39

@Wurrg After your post, I did message them on Facebook and they are already messaging me back!

Logoff · 13/03/2021 18:39

I think that Freddie’s are better than bloom and wild. I used to order them with my Ocado order and they have been dreadful lately.
I really look forward to my Freddie’s order each week, a bit of joy in lockdown.

MrsAmaretto · 13/03/2021 18:45

I don't want another bunch from them, I want my husbands money back and a bunch from interflora.

At least from wfh, there's no excuse not to use the local florist. I assume dh left it too late and all the delivery spaces were gone.

I'll not be using them again and as I said will ask that friends don't either.

So disappointing though.

Notify them immediately OP - that’s not good enough and I’m sure they’ll want to rectify it with a replacement bunch. They aren’t cheap afterall

Yes their customer service was really good, but the flowers compared to the pictures are just not on a par! Glad they got back to you though!

CamborneMaid · 13/03/2021 18:53

Another vote for using Cornish blooms if you prefer letterbox. These were my Mums she received yesterday.

I've tried a couple of different letterbox ones like Bloom & Wild but they weren't great.

I ordered from a local florist for my Nan and for £15 she had a beautiful bouquet delivered today,so I would definitely go with a local florist again.

NoBetterthanSheShouldBe · 13/03/2021 18:55

Mine were poor quality and one of the most decorative blooms had the flower head sliced off. No response to my email so far.

DavidsSchitt · 13/03/2021 18:56

My mum received hers today and they are lovely!
