He confuses me because he used to always refer to himself as an action transvestite, he was quite happy being a transvestite as oppose to transgender. He always used to say he was a bloke that wore a dress. Now all of a sudden he is apparently a girl. Even the subtitles of his Force Majoure stand up show say "She hums" etc even though this was filmed when he was happy being a man.

He’s a man who now claims that liking nail polish & heels are evidence of ‘girl genes’. He’s gone from rebelling against gender stereotypes to reinforcing them.

This. I used to have so much admiration for Eddie and now I just feel contempt for how quickly Eddie has leapt onto the bandwagon in a genuinely tragic attempt to remain relevant.

The only other person I've never met that I've been this disappointed by is Joss Whedon.

Same I used to love Eddie. Saw him live many times and admired him as a man who wears make up.
His appearance on Portrait Artist of the Year left me so disappointed and the
‘ girl mode’ was infuriating.

I saw him running in a London park yesterday. He was absolutely plastered in make-up and wore fake breasts. He looked like a pantomime dame.
