Echoing the same. I used to be a huge fan. A man who challenged stereotypes and was funny along with it.

A while ago I saw him on TV doing a prog where he went to a country where the women have to cover up. One of those comic relief look how we're helping things maybe.

He had decided for some reason to ditch the makeup and nail varnish and wear masculine clothes.

At the time I commented to DH what a mystery that was...

Of course the women and girls in that country had no way of opting out of their situation.

I think it’s not unusual for comedians to have complex mental health issues, while I am disappointed personally that EI has taken this latest stance I can’t really extend this disappointment to him/her, on reflection you can see they have been struggling to find their comfort cloak for a long time. I am d”angered by societies reaction to the TRA debate but I won’t apply that anger to EI personally, I think he is struggling enough and this is actually a clear example of how the TRA agenda has not helped the general trans community but given them extra hoops to jump through to be accepted as a valid part of a community that once was theirs to enjoy, but has been overtaken by TRA’s demanding a level of loyalty that is beneficial to no one but the TRA’s.

I feel sorry for him.

Doesn't want the age old oppression and discrimination.
Must be nice to cherry pick the aspects of "girl mode" you want and then step out of girl mode and into the privileged safety of being a man when you might encounter prejudice and threatening behaviour!

I think he went over the top with the running, I'm sure I read that he gave himself rhabdomyolysis🤔
Obvs running can help you get fit but there is a sweet spot and if you do huge amounts you can do yourself damage, he seemed to have lept straight into doing himself damage🤔

I like Eddie. He's a decent person.

Quite some years back, a fan of his had tickets for his show. Unfortunately he was in a terrible accident and was in hospital for ages so couldn't make Eddie's show. Eddie attended his hospital bed and performed the entire show for him at his bedside

He wanted no publicity for this whatsoever, he came into the hospital quietly etc etc and doesn't talk about it - it was only made public by someone in the hospital or the fan himself

So yeah I'm a bit WTF at him recently but he's a good person who does good things and that counts for a lot

Just realised that makes me sound like a super fan! I'm not. Couldn't care less either way about him. But that memory stayed with me and I don't believe it's a one off for him to do this stuff

He gives me the creeps, especially when he starts taking about “girl mode”. Just fuck off. How many oppressed women around the world would love to turn off their own “girl mode” but are unable to? Another man who thinks being a woman is a some sort of pantomime that we choose to perform in.
