That's it really. I am (idly) wondering what I'll have, and there seem to be so many great choices - and some terrible ones

Ed Sheeran - How would you feel

“Our” song is Coldplay - Fix You so we had that played as we walked out (we had a string trio and it was lovely on strings)

We had “when you say nothing at all” by Ronan keating.

But I once went to a wedding where the couple’s first dance was this:

😂😂😂

Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac. The twinkly intro always makes my tummy flutter, even though my DH had drunk a bit too much to get through his speech so by the time of the first dance he was pretty tipsy ! I walked down the aisle to Lovely Day by Bill Withers and it felt perfect.

Kpo58 · 24/02/2021 15:22

I had Eternal Flame as my first dance.

I vetoed Your Beautiful by Blunt

zenasfuck · 24/02/2021 15:23

Something Stupid, Frank Sinatra

Itreallytiedtheroomtogether · 24/02/2021 15:25

We have very different taste in music (I have some, he doesn't Wink) but are both LFC fans so we had Ray Charles' version of YNWA. It was amazing!

Loopyloututu2 · 24/02/2021 15:25

Into the Mystic by Van Morrison. Still gives me goosebumps (in a good way)

TheNewMeIsHere · 24/02/2021 15:31

Some of these are lovely! I walked down the aisle to Mozart's Voi Che S'apete. Our first dance was Black Eyed Peas Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night. Whenever it comes on the radio or anything our kids all call it out wedding song Grin

Arewenearly · 24/02/2021 15:39

Tonight, Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins 🎃. Our Wedding band learnt it for us.

We don't really have a song that's ours but when we get married it will probably be queen - best friend or Take that - rule the world!

Flippyferloppy · 24/02/2021 16:09

We had "Because you loved me" by Celine Dion

Diorissimo1985 · 24/02/2021 16:15

We had My Girl

Doublechins · 24/02/2021 16:17

The Hokey Cokey

Peachylovesherpoochy · 24/02/2021 16:22

Andy Williams - can’t take my eyes off of you

When we first met I had a Cd of music to watch the girls go by and on long car journeys we’d be singing along to the I LOVE YOU BAAAAABY bit so it seem appropriate

DGRossetti · 24/02/2021 16:28

Possibly outing, but wtf Grin

Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel - Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)

Parkermumma07 · 24/02/2021 16:35

PolaDeVeboise · 24/02/2021 16:38

We had 'Perfect Day' by Lou Reed (I know, I know), followed by 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' by Ronan Keating. We are a fucking HOOT!

Chocolatestain · 24/02/2021 16:39

Dance Me To the End of Love by Leonard Cohen

I love the line ‘Dance me to the children who are asking to be born’

TheDogsMother · 24/02/2021 16:44

No first dance at our (Covid) wedding so just the ceremony then straight on to a lovely meal. The registrars asked us to choose 4/5 tracks, one to walk in to, two or three for the signing then one to walk out to. We walked in to Queen, You're my best friend. For the register signing we had Madness, It must be Love; Stevie Wonder, Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Walked out to Pharrel Williams, Happy. Sadly there was not enough time for Frank Williams, Do I love you (Indeed I do). We are older hence the slightly vintage choices. Also they were chosen as they are upbeat and we'd worried about shedding tears with any choices that were too emotional.

Android18 · 24/02/2021 16:45

Very outing, but we had I Love You, You Imbecile by Pelle Carlburg. The lyrics and feel of the song were, and still are, spot on for our relationship!

birdling · 24/02/2021 17:50

Moondance - Van Morrison

SparkyBlue · 24/02/2021 17:58

We had "I can't take my eyes off you " by Frankie Valli. The band actually suggested it and it was a great one to get the dancing started.
