That's it really. I am (idly) wondering what I'll have, and there seem to be so many great choices - and some terrible ones

Halo by Beyonce. I also walked down the aisle to Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran.

Darcy86 · 24/02/2021 13:22

You On My Mind In My Sleep by Richard Ashcroft. Don't think most of our guests knew it, but it meant something to us!

Walked down the aisle to Someone Like You by Van Morrison, love that one.

afaloren · 24/02/2021 13:24

I went to a wedding once where the first dance was If Tomorrow Never Comes which I have to say struck me as very morbid Confused But each to their own!

Well much to my mothers chagrin I went down the aisle to The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. Grin

Our first dance was Unchained Melody.

Our first album where we sat and devoured every track was Tina Turner Simply the Best.

Justified and ancient

The KLF .

We didn't have one either, we would have hated it, I really didn't enjoy being the centre of attention and DH hates dancing so we opted out. Didn't have dancing at all.

We kind of felt like that, but we had a lot of elderberries at the wedding who rightly or wrongly needed a cue to feel it was Ok to leave.

So we reckoned for a few minutes of eww they are all looking at it it was worth it.

Zoom by Fat Larry's Band. Loads of the guests came up to us afterwards and said they hadnt heard it for years! Its always been one of our joint favourites.

The You and Me Song by he Wannadies

I regret not walking down the aisle to Florence’s version of You’ve Got The Love.

We had this one too!
TrevorWithTheWeather · 24/02/2021 14:02

The Heart Never Lies by McFly. I love the lyrics and there's a key change where it gets quite rocky. at that point a balloon popped above us sending loads smaller balloons and confetti over us, and our wedding party joined us on the dance floor.

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 24/02/2021 14:04

John Legend All of you

It came out the year we got married and so did Thinking Out Loud so every other wedding I went to that year had Ed Sheeran.

FishyFriday · 24/02/2021 14:04

We had Stand by Me - Ben E King. We have very different tastes in music and couldn't agree for ages but one day he said "how about this" and it was perfect.
