She had met Oprah once and hadn't met Clooney at the time of the wedding according to her and George. I wouldn't say she was particularly well known in the US, but if I was getting married to a royal which was to be beamed around the world, I'd probably feel the pressure to get some well known faces on board amongst the sea of Harry's famous guests! I liked her in suits though, if she was interested in acting it would have been good to see her forge out a career; but I guess that would have only worked if Harry left before they married.

They can be masters of their own destiny as long as it doesn’t involve damaging the royal brand. Which is obviously what the Queen is worried about. The problem is without the royal connection, Meghan is just a former soap actress and Harry is just a loveable prat.

Well being married with a child and another on the way counts as happiness in my book and maybe that's all that wanted who knows, as I dont I wont speculate but I hope all the media and online bullshit dies down soon.
