I hope all these apparent 'rules' are passed on to Eugenie, Beatrice and anyone else in the RF so they know when their time comes. No photos. Just 'a simple announcement' is what is decreed. Apparently.

And presumably when the baby arrives they aren't allowed to release a single picture, just a simple announcement is all that is necessary.

@akissandasmile it is my business the moment they use the mainstream media to publicise their news. Anyone's business in fact, that is exactly what they want, that you talk and think about it. The moment they consent to releasing the news and hit my BBC news stream, it becomes my business too, and since they want me to know about it and gets prime view on the country's main news media, I may as well have the right to put my views forward too. How was the photo taken then? I read with an IPad, but remotely- so they set up a zoom meeting, settled on the grass and then he took a screenshot?

The photographer is a friend I understand but I can’t my head round the mechanics of it

I do think the timing could've been better...they are upstaging Eugenie again, and that's not fair.

Having a photo shoot was unnecessary, regardless of their relationship to the photographer.

Why? They wanted to have a photo, they know a photography and so they had a photo taken. Better to release a photo they choose than have the press hounding them.

I wonder if this will prevent Harry from coming to England in the summer. International travel is so uncertain these days. It might be too risky to leave Meghan.

I genuinely feel sorry for people like @CrewTwo. It must be miserable having such nasty thoughts about strangers and feeling so strongly about them you can be arsed to share those thoughts on a forum.

You're right, they didn't. It seems to be the latest thing the Meghan bashers have fabricated to have a go at her. As if people aren't allowed to change their mind about how many kids they want anyway. Amazing, the PP above saying they are 'confused' because they thought they were only having one. 🤯

I think it's wonderful news and people must not intelligent enough if they are easily confused by the couples request for privacy and their wishes to announce special news themselves. Seriously, what is to question..of course they are entitled to privacy and they were absolutely 100% right to fight for their privacy rights and they are 100% entitlement to make their own announcements in their own time. I feel that anyone who questions that are really bitter people or else lacking in something in their own lives. I respect this couple so so much, they have not had an easy start to married life,I wish them all the luck in the world.

Private citizens like these? Have we actually seen any evidence of H&M using their child for publicity or financial gain, or is it all snide innuendos and conveniently forgetting the other royal grandchildren who've flogged events without a murmur?
