sadpapercourtesan · 17/01/2021 16:53

Sunpat cheese spread. Came in a peanut butter-shaped jar and was bright orange. I used to sneak spoonfuls of it when my mum wasn't looking.

The cupcakes made by The Fabulous Baking boys. They were delicious, especially the orange and lemon ones. I think they disappeared about 10 years ago.

Yes also those frozen vegetable pies.

I would also bring back all the veggie stuff that has been got rid of to make way for the lesser vegan options

polkadotpjs · 17/01/2021 17:18

Asda veggie "chicken" tikka sandwiches, old recipe greggs cheese and onion pastie, agreed about the lack of veggie recipes now to make way for vegan

EssentiallyDelighted · 17/01/2021 17:18

Yes to the cheddar spread in the glass jar, I loved that.

There used to be a soft drink called Aqua Libre, in the late 80s/early 90s IIRC. It was a gold colour, came in big glass bottles and was a sort of fruit and herb infusion, very gentle and a bit chalky like Badoit but only slightly carbonated. I'd love that to come back. There is a modern version but it's not the same by the looks of it.

LApprentiSorcier · 17/01/2021 17:18

Sainsbury used to do a buffalo cheese cottage cheese in the early 1990s. It was a bit like Longley Farm, but lighter. Would love to have that back.

Reggae Reggae ketchup

Phileas Fogg snacks

Powdered ice cream from the 1970s

WHSmith narrow ruled hardback notebooks

Body Shop perfume oils

And they were nut free, so one of the few suitable bought treats for my child.

Also Cremola Foam, it's not been available for ages but I miss it every summer as it was so refreshing.

I'm so glad you've noticed too! I'm a veggie but I love cheese etc, veggie options used to be tasty cheesy things. Now it's all vegan, fake cheese. Can't stand it!
