Walls frozen sausage balls
Old Jamaica Rum N Raisin chocolate (not the current cadbury crap)
Terry Waifa bars (particularly dark chocolate one)
Terrys Neopolitan chocolates

JimmyTheWeed · 17/01/2021 17:31

Marks and Spencer's rice and mushroom salad,also their fish lasagne. Both disappeared years ago and when I asked a member of staff what had happened to them,she denied that they'd ever sold them! Confused

Kazzyhoward · 17/01/2021 17:32

@Dontfuckingsaycheese

Normal simple light bulbs - that light up the whole room and don't make my whites look dingy Sad
You can still get the old fashioned bulbs on ebay.
Kazzyhoward · 17/01/2021 17:33

Marks & Spencer Ham & Cheese Coleslaw sandwiches

Laska2Meryls · 17/01/2021 17:33

Marks and Spencer Salmon and Cucumber cottage cheese ( I used to have that a couple of times a week for lunch in the 80s) . Also M&S cheese and celery sandwiches like they used to make ( I dont know of they are still doing them but last time I had one it just wasnt the same )

Realeat vegiburger ( dried in packets , the kind you made up with an egg) .. they were so good .. we are meat eaters but used to love these ,...still miss them

Also you used to be able to get quorn 'lamb and mint' grills ).. my son adored those those when he was a child ..

mrsm43s · 17/01/2021 17:33

Pot rice
Entennmans carrot cake
Sizzle and stir curry sauce

37TTCLeeds · 17/01/2021 17:35

Yes to Spira! But also Orange & Apricot Ribena.

whitehat · 17/01/2021 17:35

Definitely the Mushroom Double Swiss.

Catinabox21 · 17/01/2021 17:35

Cadbury's Marble bar and Mars Delight bars!

MynephewR · 17/01/2021 17:38

Mississippi mud pie Corner yoghurts.
Haagen dazs chocolate, pralines and caramel ice cream. They do one now with chocolate ice cream and pralines and I have to actually scoop it out into a bowl and put caramel sauce on it, not nearly as convenient as eating it straight out of the tub Grin

Thorinfling · 17/01/2021 17:38

Yes to Toast Toppers! Only chicken and mushroom though.
Heinz Cucumber sandwich spread. They still do sandwich spread but it was the cucumber one I loved as a kid!

Catinabox21 · 17/01/2021 17:39

Ooh and M&S used to do these bags of chocolate covered cornflakes. Not the bites in tubs, actual individual cornflakes! The amount of chocolate on each one was magnificent.

polkadotpixie · 17/01/2021 17:39

Quorn hotdogs, they were amazing!

namechangetogamechange · 17/01/2021 17:39

@polkadotpixie

Quorn hotdogs, they were amazing!
Have they stopped these?!
Joolsin · 17/01/2021 17:39

Body shop coconut hair gel - it smelled divine and kept my late 80s quiff locked in place all day!

VienneseWhirligig · 17/01/2021 17:39

Mushroom toast toppers a tin
Ham pasta salad from Tesco circa 2001
Levi Roots coconut rundown sauce

cheapskatemum · 17/01/2021 17:40

Sainsbury’s used to do a felafel spread, like a felafel-flavoured hummus. This was in 1987/88, I used to buy it in the huge branch near Brompton Rd. it was delicious and healthy. No idea why they stopped it, but I’ve never found anything remotely like it since.

Diverseopinions · 17/01/2021 17:41

LUCOZADE without artificial sweeteners. A company called Enerzaid are making a version - but not available in shops.

polkadotpixie · 17/01/2021 17:42

Oh and also the old Sainsbury's millionaire shortcake squares, the 3 pack in the bakery section...they still do them but the new ones are vile 😞

AChickenCalledDaal · 17/01/2021 17:42

Frozen cream sticks.

Bloodybridget · 17/01/2021 17:42

When I was a child in the early 60s I loved Picnic chocolate bars, then they changed the recipe to include peanuts, yuck

BoneyEm1972 · 17/01/2021 17:43

Iceland used to sell packs of 10 thin slices of steak that you’d grill to put in a sandwich. God knows what disgustingness was in them but they were gorgeous!! 😋

LagneyandCasey · 17/01/2021 17:43

@sadpapercourtesan

Can't remember which supermarket they were from, but my mum used to buy these French-style set yoghurts which were amazing. My brother and I used to fight over the kumquat and lychee one.
I think these were from Safeway - also defunct!
Diverseopinions · 17/01/2021 17:43

That Aqua Libra was wonderful + as one poster said.

I haven't seen Saint Raphael aperitif for a while.

Nutty bars were amazing.

You used to get Findus mince pancakes which I haven't seen for a while.

AppleCinnamonVanilla · 17/01/2021 17:44

@Grenlei

Banjo chocolate bars

Quorn cocktail sausages before they changed the recipe and made them taste vile.

Although it still exists, ginger Pepsi Max is impossible to get local to me. None of the big supermarkets sell it, except Morrisons who have a few bottles every couple of months but not consistently any more. I used to be able to get it in Wilko's or Home Bargains but neither of them has had any for the last 6-9 months.

Banjo chocolate bars

...mmm, yes.
