Sitting in Costa, trying not to cry

While DP is undergoing his first session of chemo for advanced bile duct cancer. Surrounded by happy smiley people and feeling very scared and alone. Everything about this scary journey has been a battle. Every bit of news has been bad. I just wish I had a friend to lean on right now.

So sorry to hear this OP! You and your other half are so strong. What an amazing first step that he is having chemotherapy. Positive mindset right now you can do this OP. Sending lots of warm hugs and thoughts with you right now.

Not adding much here but just wanted to send you warmth and affection at this horrible time. I’m dog-sitting and the little spaniel next to me sends you licks

Hello cat I remember talking to you on owl thread and you were extremely worried about getting results the next day. I didn't know the outcome until now. I am so sorry it's not better news. I hope dh,s chemo dosent take too long and wish him and you all the best. 💐

McMillan seem to be pot luck, ours aren't so good. We have however had amazing support from our local hospice.

My DH Is in the hospice fir Xmas (and probably New Year) and they are amazing places.

This must be very regional. The one my DH was allocated works 1 day a week and was off on holiday for the entire time my DH was having chemo. Voice mail saying don't leave a message. Maybe good at mainstream cancers with big numbers of people?

I wish I had the words that would take away your pain & fear. Hoping you get better news soon.
