The happy place cafe 2 - advent opening

Thanks to a couple of really nice PMs the cafe is reopening until and including Xmas.

For the regulars

The kitten bees are inside for winter, please watch out for them getting stuck in jam.

F and F seem to be slightly more than friends.

The water feature has become an ice rink.

To anyone new:

This virtual cafe is a covid free zone. There are a number of seats / sofas / wing back chairs.

It opened in the first lockdown, it is an escape from isolating, home ed, mask wearing. It is a happy place, it is the opposite of AIBU.

A different breakfast is served every day and sometime packing up to take to work.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Dogs and children are welcome. Babies can be handed over to regulars to give you a break and we also have cots for them to sleep.

Outside is a cat amusement area with catnip bush and toys.

Kitten bees are kittens the size of bees with wings and their tails can transform into tiny umbrellas.

Morning. Well we slept 🎉🎉

Just grabbing a tea as have a drive ahead of us to the park. DS will get to play with my friends children which he loves as they take him on everything.

For anyone else Florence has been making healthy muffins, well sort of, made with courgette or cake and with raisins instead of chocolate chip.

Fernando is making mate, in the proper gourd mugs with the metal spoons.

Morning all. Kettle is on, DS and I will snuggle up on the comfy chairs.

What a night with the wind! Our village had a power cut and the fix was to supply us with half power so the electrics were flashing on and off including the Alexa controlled lights (DS has one) so with the noise, lights turning on DS hasn't slept much. 🤦🏼‍♀️

And the childminder is sick so no idea what we are doing about work today.

IRL we had carrot and courgette muffins for lunch. I make a batch once a month and they freeze well. Super yummy, gets DH eating veg too.

Well it's windy and blustery here, I've got the kittenbees inside so tey don't get blown away.

Hot chocolate, porridge, hot pastries and muffins I think this morning. Fernando can froth some milk for the little ones.

You are supposed to hide veg so he kids eat it, adults are supposed to eat veg. I wonder how many people do this though?

DS puts everyone to shame with his love of veg and fruit. 😂

He got up at 8 in the end which was nice. Porridge and hot chocolate will be perfect

Do you have a recipe please @crazycatlady7? DS eats most of his veg raw but they sound like they might get him to change.

Thank you. We’ve got courgettes in our veg box this week, so I’ll give them a go.

I think we will head to Eastern Europe so I'll just put out plates of ham, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, olives bread, honey and pickles.

Morning. @MinnieMountain we do love them and I'm planning to make some this week. I love the fact you can freeze them as I can then just grab them for lunch when we go out.

Lovely blue sky here but still cold so Florence has set up a parrilla in the garden, we have heaters and lots of splashy puddles so wrap up your little ones with wellies and waterproofs and we can sit around/under the Kotatsu while Fernando brings us drinks.

Sounds like a perfect morning. DS was up 12-3am last night, up at 6.30 and has cried all morning. He's now asleep 🤦🏼‍♀️

He will love the puddles. I told him he didn't need wellies yesterday as there would be no puddles in town. I was wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I had a fall yesterday and somehow cut my belly, the wound looks really nasty although it doesn't hurt but hands and knees need some rest.

I can't understand how I go the cut, I tripped over between the coffee table and the backdoor locking up before bed. I landed on my hands and knees and I can't find anything that has cut me, there is a wine glass on the table, completely intact on the only thing on the floor where I landed is some incence.

My belly did not touch the floor and if I hadn't put my hand down and noticed blood I would not have known it existed.

How random @sashh 🤷‍♀️ it doesn't make sense? Is it a cut from something else that reopened when you fell?

I'm up for the first time, 🎉🎉 will tidy up a bit and make a hot chocolate before snuggling in the comfy chair with DS

Morning @crazycatlady7 I know it doesn't make sense, I did wonder if the cat had scratched me because she was on the sofa arm just before I got up but it's the lack of blood I just can't get my head around no blood on the floor, sofa and table.

I've taken pictures but they look horrendous.

I'll just do hot drinks and toast today.

I'm raiding the coffee pot, seems to be another night of sleep is for the weak as I'm heading into my third hour awake. 😭

The cut sound so random still @sashh. Cat scratches can be nasty at times and I tend to not notice them until they are pointed out to me.
