The happy place cafe 2 - advent opening

Thanks to a couple of really nice PMs the cafe is reopening until and including Xmas.

For the regulars

The kitten bees are inside for winter, please watch out for them getting stuck in jam.

F and F seem to be slightly more than friends.

The water feature has become an ice rink.

To anyone new:

This virtual cafe is a covid free zone. There are a number of seats / sofas / wing back chairs.

It opened in the first lockdown, it is an escape from isolating, home ed, mask wearing. It is a happy place, it is the opposite of AIBU.

A different breakfast is served every day and sometime packing up to take to work.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Dogs and children are welcome. Babies can be handed over to regulars to give you a break and we also have cots for them to sleep.

Outside is a cat amusement area with catnip bush and toys.

Kitten bees are kittens the size of bees with wings and their tails can transform into tiny umbrellas.

I love the “Get Down Mr President” game. I will store this for when DD is older.

@BaconAndAvocado - exciting news about your puppy. A friend has just got a German Shepherd puppy and has been entertaining us all with photos.

We had our first set of snow on Sunday. DD was a little overwhelmed but her snowsuit and wellies kept her warm.

All the snow has melted here but the weather is dry for DD’s walk later.

Very wet here the rain kept me awake after I did the middle of the night feed. But did read about possible snow at the weekend (I do like snow for my birthday)

MinnieMountain I found the fasting harder yesterday than I did the week before, not sure why. A “normal” day today.

sassh I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t know the difference between the two said sausages, so I’ll have either with brown sauce in a white bread sandwich please.

snowy0wl I’m going to try and get DS2 out in the fresh air today. He’s been so lethargic recently and I’m sure it’s because of the current situation and all the screen time (education and otherwise) he’s having.
Luckily, he’s in good spirits but physically I don’t think his body is very happy with lockdown. DD is a very physical 12 yo and never stops dancing and doing TikTok videos when she’s not doing her remote learning.

@sashh it's Sunday. Got big plans of cake which I hope DH understands 😂

DS has fallen asleep on me on the sofa and I'm now stuck 🤦🏼‍♀️. But it's nice. Just wish I had a drink and a book.
