Feeling a bit nostalgic today I will start- every good shopping trip would involve a visit to Bay Trading and Snob

Sweater Shop, definitely.

Do you remember when it was fashionable also to carry around your PE kit at school on a carrier bag from a high at shop. I had a Pilot one that was a drawstring that was my PE bag of choice for ages ConfusedGrin

Jeffrey Rogers for some nice trousers (without an elasticated waist, which I want constantly post-lockdown).
Body Shop for a little bottle of something and to plaster myself in free perfume samples.
Maybe a new single or a blank cassette to record stuff off the radio from Our Price.
Good times.

When I read your thread title, the first shop I thought of was Bay Trading! I'm glad you mentioned it.

It's a shame what happened to BHS as it was a good shop.

wetasstenalady · 29/11/2020 20:15

Omg pilot I forgot all about that! Many a sexy outfit bought from there

TiptopJ · 29/11/2020 20:15

I was a teenager in the late 90s 00s.

Clockhouse in c&a
Morgan (owning something from Morgan was like the holy grail of clothing)
Tammy girl (okay so pre teen for me but me and my mum spent hours in there every Saturday)
The fcuk t-shirt that i wasn't allowed
Fruits of the loom (my mum was obsessed)
Kangol

And my prized possession of the 90s- my blue and red kappa jacket!

DennisWaterman · 29/11/2020 20:16

I'll have a trip to Mark One.

Later to be rebranded MK One.

Yes Pilot was great! They used to do lovely sexy corset-type tops I loved them (but I doubt really pulled off as a fat chested 16 year old 😂)

heidbuttsupper · 29/11/2020 20:17

Oh and Kookai

ItsALovelyDayToday · 29/11/2020 20:17

Mark One. Internacionale (sp?) We had a shop called Logo, too, not sure of it was a national chain?! Kookaii and Morgan.

Also Tammy Girl as per pp.

Ha! I wore Fcuk sweater in Oxford street years ago and one of those people that talk about god on megaphones singled me out as I walked past basically calling me a sinner/awful person. So funny as I wouldn't hurt a flea in real life. It annoyed me quite a bit actually as he was the one being the meany! Sorry off track from this thread...

RosesAndHellebores · 29/11/2020 20:21

Benetton
Next (when it was good)
Laura Ashley
Ravel (shoes)
Elliott (shoes)
Racing Green
Liz Claiborne (may have been a brand not a shop).

Whatwouldscullydo · 29/11/2020 20:22
