80s/90s shops

Feeling a bit nostalgic today I will start- every good shopping trip would involve a visit to Bay Trading and Snob

I remember Next to Nothing in Birmingham, just round the corner from Adams in fact.

Virgin Megastore in Birmingham city centre - many happy hours!

Chelsea Girl/Tammy Girl
Mark One
Paper Tiger
Bow Bangles
Savacentre
Athena
Beatties
Woolco (I'm sure this was an amalgamation of Woolworths and Wilkinsons, I am definitely remembering correctly!!)

Covent Garden General Store and the place just down from there towards Leicester Square which did loads of army surplus but was somehow trendy. I want to say Laurence Korner but I'm not sure that was there, that might have been in Kensington.

and peter dominic off licence too!

K Shoes - I had a Saturday job there.

C & A only closed in the UK. Check out this Christmas party frock I saw in Spain last year.

Oh so many of these stores are evoking string teenage memories

Anyone from Newcastle remember Sgt Peppers? Their tops were the epitome of chav trendy! I could never afford to shop there but bought a too in the sale and kept the too and bag for ever until they were both ragged 😂

And the British Gas showroom I loved looking at the fires with the horrendous multi coloured plastic coals on whilst my dad paid the gas bill

I thought Adams (in 2005/6) was really poor quality and expensive! Next was much better at that time.
In the 90s, all the above mentioned plus one that was like sweater shop but had a different name?

Our midland supermarket was Hillards but this might have been more the 70’s
