I can't believe I didn't know about rubber brooms before now! No word of a lie, it has changed my life - picks up dog fur from the stairs better than any hoover. My carpet is like new. This, after spending £s on Dyson. Anyone else got any brilliant cleaning tips?

Who ever said soak loo roll in bleach and stick on grout to clean I thank you. Just tried on hair dye I accidentally splatted, it's gone. Totally gone. I used mold spray which is just thin bleach.

@ohisntthisallfun

Headboard- just had this problem - used very dilute soap solution, and splash of white vinegar, hot, in a clean spray bottle, sprayed generously, then scrub it in with clean dustpan-brush. Lots of dry white cloth to blot it with, then repeated 3 times. Amazing.

Oh and pp with grey plates - instead of using up all the Barkeeps Friend, just use citric acid! You're welcomeSmile
