I find it curious how much emphasis people place on the wife of the Bad Man, as opposed to his grown sons. They each have the exact same financial pressures, inheritance vs divorce settlement - and yet she has the additional (terrifying) pressure of knowing the Great Narcissist could contest custody of her own child.

Well, look at what is on the record about her actions. Hilariously for someone married to the ‘Build A Wall’ POTUS and who defended his hardline anti migration views during his campaign, she worked in the US as a model while still on a tourist visa, and, having started to date Trump, was then miraculously approved for an EB1 usually only granted to 2% of applicants who are considered ‘outstanding’ in their field. She used the ‘chain migration’ route criticised by Trump to sponsor her parents to be US citizens. Her main issue as FLOTUS was purportedly cyber bullying. Again, ironic given her husband’s use of Twitter to bully and spew bile.

I think people just want to think that Melania is unhappy in her marriage because she is a woman, and because most of us couldn’t imagine why anyone would want to be married to that hideous man.

But she knew what she was doing. If it wasn’t for love then she married him for money, which essentially just makes her a prostitute with 0 self respect. But I suspect there is more to that because she comes across as vile as he is, and in truth no self respecting woman would marry someone like him, even for the money.

I never get the criticism of ‘gold diggers’ or ‘trophy wives’ - as long as the two people involved in the marriage know what they are getting out of it and are willing participants then who are we to judge?
