Will Melania divorce Donald's sorry orange arse?

Will the cat-eyed she-woman divorce the giant orange man baby? The way she bats his hand away whenever he tries to hold hers. The hideous sordid predatorial behaviour splashed all over the news. The cavorting with Jeffrey Epstein. The way he dances like his shoes are glued to the floor.

If I was her I'd be searching the yellow pages for a lawyer.

Not sure if they'll have to stay married so that they can't be forced to testify against each other. Is that a thing in America?

Yank here. It is a thing in America. You cannot be compelled to testify against your spouse. That said, she probably knows very little about his financial dealings so would likely not get called to testify in the first place.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 06/11/2020 20:37

Oh dear Radyward...

Echobelly · 06/11/2020 20:39

I was thinking she'd be pissed off if he wins, as she'd have to stay married to him for 4 another years.

pigcon1 · 06/11/2020 20:39

Conscious uncoupling def..

Zixxy · 06/11/2020 20:45

I often wonder about those who might care what she does.

Celebrity adoration again.

ZoeCM · 06/11/2020 20:49

Jackie and John Kennedy were a standard society marriage

What's a society marriage? I've Googled it but can't find a definition.

AlternativePerspective · 06/11/2020 20:50

I wonder why anyone thinks she will divorce him. She is just as vile as he is.

bevelino · 06/11/2020 20:54

@JonasKahnwald

I'm sure they must have had some agreement. She'll stay with him as long as he's president and do all the first lady stuff then she'll be long gone. Hope she does leave with a massive divorce settlement.
Melania has hardly done any First Lady stuff compared to Michelle Obama and Laura Bush.
TidyOmlette · 06/11/2020 20:55

Why does everyone seem to think ‘poor melania?’

She could be an utter bitch. She could be 100 times worse than trump, who’s to say it’s not a match made in heaven?

Kissthepastrychef · 06/11/2020 20:56

@ZoeCM

Where the children of wealthy, high status families marry each other to ensure suitable connections, consolidations of fortunes, prestige, political power. To meet family expectations and continue suitable dynasties. A bit like arranged marriages.

In Legally Blonde terms Warner & Vivien = society wedding. Warner & Elle = marrying down to a nouveau riche with fake nails.

ZoeCM · 06/11/2020 20:59

Thank you, @kissthepastrychef!

Zixxy · 06/11/2020 21:00

I actually admire Melania Trump for not doing the First Lady thing.

Good for her. Should never be required. EVER.

Can't wait for a single person or someone in a same sex relationship getting to the WH. Yeah I know, won't happen. Widowed might be allowed though.

US is actually very conservative and insists on the married couple, two + kids thing most of the time when it comes to their leaders.

If anyone can refute that, I am all ears, and will be happy to be corrected.

Longdistance · 06/11/2020 21:01

She looked like she wanted to escape the first time around 🍊 👶🏽

derxa · 06/11/2020 21:08

@ListeningQuietly

Hillary and Bill married out of college and are still together as grandparents

Jackie and John Kennedy were a standard society marriage

Melania is wife number three of a serial bankrupt

not comparable.

Melania married to become a Bergdorf wife, not the FLOTUS
she'll leave as soon as Barron turns 16

Hillary and Bill don't live together and there are acres of scandal about Bill (Monica Lewinsky)and doubts about Chelsea's parentage JFK was unfaithful almost every single day of his married life. Marilyn Monroe etc etc. Then Jackie married Aristotle Onassis Hmm
Inkpaperstars · 06/11/2020 21:12

Someone on another thread suggested googling the unpleasant Melania tapes, she is as bad as he is and probably genuinely admires him. She has supported and defended him for ages, they seem like a match to me. She's not nice.

CayrolBaaaskin · 06/11/2020 21:12

I don’t think she is some kind of victim. I think she is as vile as he is.

ListeningQuietly · 06/11/2020 21:14

Hillary and Bill don't live together and there are acres of scandal
A bit like the Queen and Prince Philip

FFS
some married couples work well at a distance

others were not the deal

are you really defending Trump ?

HollowTalk · 06/11/2020 21:17

@derxa

I have to laugh about 'marriage of convenience'. Jackie Kennedy and Hillary Clinton spring to mind if we're going down the nasty road.
Hillary always said she really loved Clinton and that they were best friends. I think he'd always played around and she'd turned a blind eye because of her affair with another woman.
BilboBercow · 06/11/2020 21:22

I do think she's generally unpleasant and knew what she was getting into. I also think he's a deeply abusive person, as has been stated by both of his previous wives and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Feedingthebirds1 · 06/11/2020 21:25

And they got married 15 years ago, it's not like it's very recent.

BilboBercow · 06/11/2020 21:27

I've no doubt Hilary married for love and always thought her and Bill problem had a lot in common. Weird how people seem to judge her for staying with an unfaithful man more than they judge him for BEING unfaithful.

derxa · 06/11/2020 21:28

are you really defending Trump ? Grin This is the nub of it. Are you in my gang? Are you not in my gang? So childish. I couldn't give a shit about Donald Trump.
People are complex and I don't divide them up into good and bad.
Let's have a wee look at Bill and JFK and the Bush men's affairs
Anyway all of them are rich beyond avarice.

borabora33 · 06/11/2020 21:30

I think she will :)

fri6nov · 06/11/2020 21:30

Why do you think she's any better than him? She doesn't strike me as intelligent nor a nice person. At all.

ListeningQuietly · 06/11/2020 21:31

Derxa
Your bravado is impressive
but the Trump / Johnson rainbow unicorn was one of your hopes of an ongoing stable income
but come 31 December, the hollowness of what you were told will bite
which is so insane
