Apparently she is as unpleasant as he is and the reason she didn’t move to the Whitehouse straight away was so that she had greater bargaining power as she re-negotiated her prenup. I read an article where one of her assistants said she lacked empathy for others and didn’t seem to be bothered by the kids that were torn from their parents in detention centres after visiting one. I don’t think she is a victim in her relationship with him at all, I think she is quite like him. She embellished all of her own achievements (lied about having a degree in architecture/design when she dropped out in her first year as she was getting modelling work). Apparently she is the first person he calls after he does a speech or rally if she’s not there at the time so he can get feedback from her.

Can I ask why you feel sorry for her? She is an adult woman in her 50s. She didn't marry him for his irresistable charm, devastating good looks or heart of gold. She married him for the money. Granted, she won't have anticipated him becoming president, but this was a transactional relationship par excellence. He got a hot young model, she got wealth and status. She was happy to speak in his support during his election campaign. She's no victim.
