Will Melania divorce Donald's sorry orange arse?

Will the cat-eyed she-woman divorce the giant orange man baby? The way she bats his hand away whenever he tries to hold hers. The hideous sordid predatorial behaviour splashed all over the news. The cavorting with Jeffrey Epstein. The way he dances like his shoes are glued to the floor.

If I was her I'd be searching the yellow pages for a lawyer.

Deserve each other. Bad as each other IMO.

USA is well rid. Let's hope Joe doesn't pop his clogs before Kamala or AOC get a shift on.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 06/11/2020 19:36

Dunno, that frock would be lovely for visiting him in jail too.

PeaceAndHarmoneeee · 06/11/2020 19:38

I'm not sure there will be much money for melania to have once Trump is no longer president and his financial / business issues catch up with him.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 06/11/2020 19:41

@JonasKahnwald

I'm sure they must have had some agreement. She'll stay with him as long as he's president and do all the first lady stuff then she'll be long gone. Hope she does leave with a massive divorce settlement.
Apparently she used his election to the Whitehouse to re-negotiate her pre-nup in her favour - he needed a wife who would seem to support him and she knew she had him over a barrel )not a pretty thought).

I think she has achieved what she wanted - she has money and status because of him - but I don't think she'll be with him long once he is back on "civvy" street, with his debts being called in and the threat of prosecution hanging over him.

He married her because he wanted a glamorous trophy wife; she married him for money.

They both got what they wanted. Not sure how much they are enjoying it though. She always looks repulsed by him.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 06/11/2020 19:41

I wondered if she'd voted for Biden in the hope of getting out of the White House and back to a Donald free life.

supercee · 06/11/2020 19:42

I also had this conversation not so long ago. She's just 'biden' her time before she can escape with the money and her child.

grassisjeweled · 06/11/2020 19:43

Incredible wardrobe.

VERY flattering hairstyle that she's invented too.

Yes, she should divorce his sorry ass

derxa · 06/11/2020 19:44

I have to laugh about 'marriage of convenience'. Jackie Kennedy and Hillary Clinton spring to mind if we're going down the nasty road.

Cam77 · 06/11/2020 19:45

Perhaps he will dump her. I doubt the feeling is just one way.

NeverAMillionMilesAway · 06/11/2020 19:46

She is just as bad as him, and I don't understand why people make her out to be a victim.
She married him- his views can't have come from nowhere. She's an adult and she made her choice, and supports him by staying married to him.

Ohdeariedear · 06/11/2020 19:46

Ha ha, DH and I were discussing this earlier! She will sit tight but go and live somewhere else, like she did at the start when she stayed in NYC and he was in the White House . He’ll either be in jail or die soon anyway so I’m sure she can sit it out for a few more years.

Kissthepastrychef · 06/11/2020 19:47

@UnholyStramash the Mrs Merton quip seems pertinent to your question

“So what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?”

CrypticQueen · 06/11/2020 19:47

I have two words: Hank Siemers 😉

Blibbyblobby · 06/11/2020 19:47

@IcedPurple

I think so.

Rumour has it that they've long led separate lives and that they would have divorced years ago had it not been for his political ambitions. And yes, I know, you shouldn't just believe rumours but it's clear from her body language that she can barely stand to be around him, let alone hold hands with him. She signed up for an anonymous life of expensive clothes, luxury homes and private jets in New York, not attending dull First Lady events with major press intrusion in her life.

Not that I feel sorry for her. She seems cold and soulless.

Your post reminded me of this, which is very harsh but very funny...

Will Melania divorce Donald's sorry orange arse?
IcedPurple · 06/11/2020 19:49

@thetrees

Can't imagine they'll bother to divorce, surely they'll just live separately?

I have absolutely no sympathy for her whatsoever, she can't have anticipated the presidency but she made her choice to marry him.

I believe they were more or less living seperately before she reluctantly moved into the White House.

You could be right that they will continue to maintain the pretence of marriage but there's no real need now, especially if one or both want to marry someone else.

UnholyStramash · 06/11/2020 19:50

This thread reminded me of a photo of them both voting last time. They were in voting booths side-by-side and he was endeavouring to take a sly look over her shoulder.

UnholyStramash · 06/11/2020 19:51

@Kissthepastrychef, thanks for reminding me of that line. Exactly what I was getting at!

areyoubeingserviced · 06/11/2020 19:51

As others have said she’s just like him
Btw- she hasn’t been very proactive over the past few years.
She strikes me as someone who is quite lazy.
Her husband is a terrible president and she’s a useless First Lady.

ListeningQuietly · 06/11/2020 19:52

Hillary and Bill married out of college and are still together as grandparents

Jackie and John Kennedy were a standard society marriage

Melania is wife number three of a serial bankrupt

not comparable.

Melania married to become a Bergdorf wife, not the FLOTUS
she'll leave as soon as Barron turns 16

nosswith · 06/11/2020 19:53

Does it matter as long as come January Melania Trump becomes the former First Lady?

Kissthepastrychef · 06/11/2020 19:53

Also, just because she's a female doesn't prevent her from being a racist, bigoted individual who is only interested in her own self-interest. Plenty of women wholeheartedly support Trump's policies - including his first wife who is very public in her support of him. Melania is no vapid victim, why should we discredit her ability to know her own mind.

Just because the majority of MNetters could bear the prospect of two seconds with Donald doesn't mean there aren't plenty who wouldn't be quite happy - whether that is either because they agree with him or because the reward is worth the cost.

Zixxy · 06/11/2020 19:54

From what I know, she didn't do much as First Lady. Good for her.

The concept of a consort to a President is another feature of some medieval concepts like pardons and so on in US.

Can't wait for a single person to become Prez. I would not want to be the appendage of anyone like this personally. I admire her for doing little as FL. Way to go.

katy1213 · 06/11/2020 19:55

She might just sit it out as he'll probably spontaneously combust soon enough. And it's not like it was ever a love match.

Blibbyblobby · 06/11/2020 19:56

@NeverAMillionMilesAway

She is just as bad as him, and I don't understand why people make her out to be a victim. She married him- his views can't have come from nowhere. She's an adult and she made her choice, and supports him by staying married to him.
I don't even think they are his views. I don't think he is consistent or thoughtful enough to have views outside his immediate self-interest.

So he probably has genuine views on tax (less of it) and business probity regulation (less of it), but everything else he stands for is a position he's taken because it makes his supporters cheer for him and tell him he's the best (which he really, really, REALLY wants more of).

If the cards had fallen differently I think he could have been a populist democrat just as easily, making the woke whoop with barbs and insults to the conservatives.

LadyLindaT · 06/11/2020 19:59

Previous wife didn't get mad, she got EVERYTHING!
