FFS Stollen Bites are back and I cannot stop eating them! What's your christmas food downfall?

Why did I buy them? WHY?
Little bites of deliciousness. Already out in the shops in October and now in my cupboard. And soon to be excess weight on my scales.
Sigh.
They are addictive, it's not my fault.
They fell into my basket.
I suspect it will happen multiple times between now and Christmas.

On top of everything else, now the stollen bites are going to make me fat. (Because it has nothing to do with me).

Which Christmas treat is your downfall?

My OH is the same. Eats at least a pack every 2 days to himself. And never puts weight on.

SillyMoomin · 18/10/2020 17:45

Those little soft ginger leubrecken ? (Spelling) biscuits with the apricot jam inside

F*ckers

I can eat a whole packet in one go

FTMF30 · 18/10/2020 17:45

Pigs in blankets. Only ever have them at Christmas, and when I do, I eat a whole pig's worth.

That and egg nog.

FallonsTeaRoom · 18/10/2020 17:46

Stollen bites. So so very delicious. 😋

slipperywhensparticus · 18/10/2020 17:47

Gluten free mince pies technically the ones I make are better than the ones you can buy (and cheaper too) however I'm the only person who eats them so I eat all 12

BearSoFair · 18/10/2020 17:48

Lebkuchen. Spotted them online in the week, added to the list for tomorrow and I know we won't stop buying them until January now!

Bargebill19 · 18/10/2020 18:01

Please can you tell me where you get your stollen bites from?
I ate my own weight in the lebuchen(?) last year and will never eat them again! Need something new and wintery.

badlydrawnbear · 18/10/2020 18:03

Lebkuchen.

Bargebill I get stollen bites in Aldi, but I did see some in Morrisons the other day too

Sexnotgender · 18/10/2020 18:04

Baklava Star

Brandy cream I could eat with a spoon.

AdditionalCharacter · 18/10/2020 18:06

I put three bags of lebkuchen in my trolley on Friday, luckily for me DH has hidden them until December.

isseywith4vampirecats · 18/10/2020 18:07

Chocolate brazil nuts i only buy them at christmas because i eat that many at one time i end up regretting it

SillyMoomin · 18/10/2020 18:07

Oh. And last year Lidl did these bastardly Moreish individual circular disks of marzipan with jam on top.

Gods sakes. I used to eat 3 a day

OnCandyStripeLegs · 18/10/2020 18:08

Lidl used to do a marzipan wrapped praline bar which was heaven - now they just do some shitty rum and raisin one. Such a disappointment.

2tired2bewitty · 18/10/2020 18:08

Those tins of twiglets in our house. I’m working hard on ignoring them in the shops, but it’s only a matter of time before they sneak into my basket.

Oh no, they still do the praline one. The one with the hazel-nutty strip in the middle?

Yes. It’s still on sale. I had two this week. Maybe I bought them all from your store. Soz Grin

Bargebill19 · 18/10/2020 18:11

@badlydrawnbear

Thank you!!!

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 18/10/2020 18:11

Lebkuchen and stollen bites.
Also considering marzipan (pregnant and want to stuff my face with all the stuff I shouldn’t).

TwoZeroTwoZero · 18/10/2020 18:15

Warm mince pies with cream

Cadbury's chocolate Santas with the mousse filling

KetoPenguin · 18/10/2020 18:17

Love all these things. I call it the 12 weeks of Christmas.

LatteLover12 · 18/10/2020 18:20

Oh yes...love this time of year!

My downfall is all the baileys and just when you thought it couldn't be worse than that Tesco started selling Baileys cream which is delicious when paired with a spoon 😂🐷

DelphineWalsh · 18/10/2020 18:28

They've been in the shops since September I took some on my summer holiday. T'was wonderful.

JustCallMeGriffin · 18/10/2020 18:31

Mince pies! I love them, no one else in the family does so one box goes to just me...which is not healthy.

I don't let myself buy any mince pies until advent begins to limit the damage otherwise I'd gain 2 stone every winter!

Polly99 · 18/10/2020 18:32

Waitrose stollen bites are so good. I can eat a whole packet in one go and only feel mildly sick afterwards.
I should probably eat several packets as some sort of aversion therapy... but what if it doesn't work?

iklboo · 18/10/2020 18:33

Lebkuchen & stroopwaffel.

ohidoliketobe · 18/10/2020 18:34

Aldi's chocolate Florentines.....
