I can't sleep and was just wondering why other people would be awake at this hour

waves to all the fellow very pregnant awake people.

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and feeling really sick. Have been awake for 3 hours and need to go to sleep but can’t find a position that’s comfortable, or where I don’t want to be sick. Urgh.

Luckily I have finished work, but still have a toddler to wrestle tomorrow.

Crinklyoldhag · 02/10/2020 03:30

Because my mind and body seem to think sleep is for the weak and only to be done between the hours of 7am and 11am. Unfortunately the rest of the world disagrees... so I’m stuck on 4 hours of broken sleep a night

Shangrilalala · 02/10/2020 03:33

Worrying about DD, away to university for the first time. Flu symptoms so miserable and hasn’t left her room in a week. Running through plans A, B &C over what we can do and when.

cookiemonster5 · 02/10/2020 03:36

My husband stole the duvet then I imagined the 3 year old screaming. You know that high pitched panicked scream they do when something is really wrong? Yup I thought I heard that so snapped awake properly and there was dead silence. Now I can't get back to sleep.

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 02/10/2020 03:38

I'm a nurse, currently on nightshift!

ShelbyCherryBlossom · 02/10/2020 03:38

I have the worst acid reflux right now (side effect of Sertraline) so sat up drinking water hoping this Omeprazole starts working!

Thack · 02/10/2020 04:06

Not in the heavily pregnant group, more like lightly pregnant, I guess! (15weeks)

Been awake during the night over the past few weeks. Mix of constipation discomfort (tmi sorry) and anxious brain tonight.

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 02/10/2020 04:11

Has my flu jab this afternoon and now my arm plus ankle and wrist joints ache like buggery

LongPauseNoAnswer · 02/10/2020 04:19

I was woken by my menstrual cup needing to be emptied. My cat decided to take my hot spot while I was in the bathroom so now I’m perched on the edge of the mattress with only a bit of duvet. I’ll just have to wait it out, he’s too cute to move.

DufferedUp · 02/10/2020 04:20

Because baby will not fucking go to sleep.

redeyetonowheregood · 02/10/2020 04:24

Have woken up with lower left abdominal pain which I think may be a flare up of diverticular disease. I haven't had a bout for a while. Big day at work tomorrow, need to be up and peppy soon😞

Thatbliddywoman · 02/10/2020 04:25

My bladder woke me up.

Trisolaris · 02/10/2020 04:30

My kitty is sick and dp and I have split the night into shifts to watch her to make sure she does no further damage to her injured paw or rip out her cannula in the other paw. She’s been at the vets on fluids, painkillers and antibiotics for the past three days in a row and back again tomorrow. Poor little girl! They can’t keep her temp down.

Hawkmoth · 02/10/2020 04:30

Toothache.

giggly · 02/10/2020 04:34

Menopause insomnia Sad every second week awake until 4 -5 am then up for work at 7.45.
On a brighter note it’s now my birthday just celebrated with a cup of tea.

Taylrse · 02/10/2020 04:35

Currently on shift in a hospital. Only 3.5 hours left

pudseypie · 02/10/2020 04:36

DH woke me up with his snoring, couldn't get him to turn over. After an hour I finally got back to sleep. He then woke up went to loo, noisily banged toilet door and woke baby up. So now I'm up with baby as it's my night tonight. (We take it in turns) and baby won't go back to sleep...I could kill DH right now.

Clevererthanyou · 02/10/2020 04:37

Chronic back pain and nausea, would prefer something as interesting as a cute bed stealing cat or audition prep! My cute cat seems to have wandered off downstairs which is very unusual for her, she loves my weighted blanket. Perhaps DH snoring has pissed her off too 😂🙈

Jozen · 02/10/2020 04:42

Sitting outside looking at the ocean watching two dolphins and eating last night's leftovers for lunch.
Stunning spring day on the East coast of Australia. Don't want to go back inside as I've got a stack of work to do.

Namaste6 · 02/10/2020 04:47

Throbbing osteoarthritis pain in my left ankle of all places. dog #1 is snoring rather loudly and we have a very vocal woodland owl outside. 🙏

Longdistance · 02/10/2020 04:50

I’m always awake this time of night. No reason whatsoever. I’ll wake up and feel like shit.
I woke yesterday with shoulder pain that was excruciating. Feeling better now.

Went to bed with a migraine at 8pm. Didn’t sleep until 11 but my body is bored of lying down. So I’m researching bathroom fitting services for my 80 yr old mother.

Derelictwreck · 02/10/2020 04:53

Drank too much last night seeing an old friend in the pub. Woke up a big hungover, a bit drunk, and in need of a the loo!

Bettyboop82 · 02/10/2020 05:04

Breastfeeding my 10 week old
