Mine is brushing my teeth. It just feels like such a chore because I'm clearly very lazy.

@Bluetit101

Going to the petrol station. And if pay at the pump isn't working I'd rather drive to another one than go in the actual station to pay. Don't know why, just a proper bug bear of mine
Now, I'm the complete opposite. If Pay at Pump is the only option, I go somewhere else. I can never get P@P to work and I always assume its taken my money twice.
Spreadingcomfrey · 26/09/2020 12:19

Pulling long hair out of plugholes - eeurghhh.

ClinkyMonkey · 26/09/2020 12:26

Getting my 12yo DS up and out of the house for school every morning. It. Is. Torture.

hopeishere · 26/09/2020 12:28

Putting the laundry away. God it's practically impossible to do.

Inastatus · 26/09/2020 12:30

Putting fuel in the car.

blueshoes · 26/09/2020 12:34

In the days when I needed extra help in the house, sifting through aupairs online. Just awful.

Inastatus · 26/09/2020 12:36

@GinWithASplashOfTonic - Regarding remembering which side the hole is, have a look at your fuel gauge and there should be a little arrow next to it. The way it points is which side your fuel tank is on. I only found this out myself fairly recently - mind blowing 😅

Itstartedinbarcelona · 26/09/2020 13:34

Emptying the dishwasher, dusting and pairing socks, but the worst job is continually trying to find homes for things that DC and DH leave lying around.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 26/09/2020 13:37

Putting washing away
Changing my bed( so frustrating when I have no functional left hand/ arm/ body!)

DinosApple · 26/09/2020 13:41

Coaxing homework refusing DD2(9) to sit and do her maths homework.

The world hates her, it's not fair, she hates homework, she hates school, she hates who she sits with, she screams, flails and wails in frustration, and there's just too much!

Meanwhile I have to keep extremely calm, make placating noises and gently coax her into doing each task. The actual maths questions took 50 minutes, but could easily have been done in half that if we cut out the weekly performance. Which I explain several times a week.

Every. Single. Week.

GreenLeafTurnip · 26/09/2020 13:43

Putting petrol in the car. Fills me with dread. I feel like a silly little woman every Time I do it. No idea why!

justthecat · 26/09/2020 13:48

Hoovering the stairs carpet & making appointments

gertrudemortimer · 26/09/2020 13:52

Putting salt in the dishwasher

EhUp · 26/09/2020 13:56

I'm with @clinkymonkey getting my 15yo DS out of bed and ready to leave house for school Monday to Friday is fraught with stress every day

I'd forgotten how traumatic it is having not done it regularly for 6m!

Thanks for the tip! I only recently found out this was a thing too. And because of not needing the car as much recently I haven't topped the car up to try this revelation out

Shizzlestix · 26/09/2020 14:18

Dusting, it’s pointless with 2 dogs.
Changing the bed
Getting up early for work

Sertchgi123 · 26/09/2020 14:20

Doing my tax return.

IrishCream123 · 26/09/2020 14:26

Ironing and food shopping

Macramacious · 26/09/2020 14:27

Every bit of housework, life admin already mentioned. I'll add:

Taking pictures for Instagram. Not of myself, I sell stuff online and having to prepare the scene, drag the bright lamp over, stage the item and sprinkle flower petals, dried fruits or other pretty shit around it takes ages. Then go through all the photos to pick the best one, edit it, upload it and think of a caption and a million hastags 😡 I spend longer taking photos of the thing than actually making it.

Buy christmas/birthday/retirement anniversary presents. Amazon wishlists should be compulsory.

LunaLoveFood · 26/09/2020 14:28

Putting petrol in the car and putting washing away.

missmouse101 · 26/09/2020 14:28

Mandatory self learning for work. It's so tedious.

Livelifejoyful · 26/09/2020 14:29

Cooking. I do so much of it. I feel like a unpaid chef.

PoloNeckKnickers · 26/09/2020 14:37

Putting the food shopping away.

PoloNeckKnickers · 26/09/2020 14:38

Oh, and giving flea treatment to my cats.

SerenityNowwwww · 26/09/2020 15:47

I suspect the cat hates it more.
