Mine is brushing my teeth. It just feels like such a chore because I'm clearly very lazy.

Pairing socks. I hate it with a passion.

SpeedofaSloth · 27/09/2020 20:30

I hate putting clothes away but I do find a certain satisfaction if all the socks pair up. I really don't like it when I am left with spares.

Cooking

Brushing teeth but I have terrible teeth and I feel like I can't win.
Washing up - I'm a bugger for running a bowl of water for washing up then getting distracted
Making lunches - both my son and my partner. Partner ok as he'll eat anything, son is fussy and that, coupled with being the one to sort tea time out too, its chore all the time. Also means I'm less likely to sort my own packed lunch out too.

Ironing

PurplePansy05 · 27/09/2020 21:00

Making shopping lists

Daisypickle · 28/09/2020 09:12

Haha, me too @MrsGrindah 😅 Total bloody waste of my time sitting waiting for someone to sort my hair out.

Daisypickle · 28/09/2020 09:15

We all seem to despise the same mundane things! Why on earth did humans evolve from cavemen? No cleaning, dusting, washing your hair or thinking of different meals to worry about! I'm seriously considering regression 😅

FierceS221 · 28/09/2020 14:10

All of the above!!!

Plus throwing out empty shower gel bottles/toothpaste/used razors....and I don't know why....

also emptying the bathroom bin

Putting the clean clothes away. It’s one of those tasks that takes ages but no sense of achievement. It’s not even on DH’s radar.

I put three loads of washing away yesterday. Took ages on a Sunday. Just put away another two. How can there be so much? We all just wear one outfit per day?? I don’t get it!

Driving in the dark.
I dread the onset of dark mornings and 5pm blackness. I hate the headlights coming towards me, it makes me feel murderous.

LadySeaThing · 28/09/2020 14:53

The fucking dishes. Hate it hate it hate it. And I have a dishwasher too, i still hate it. Just so wet, slimy and logistically stressful trying to fit everything in and the fact that it all just piles up again immediately.

It used to be ex's job (one of the only ones I ever managed to get him to do, even then it wasn't that regular) and I can hand on heart say that's the one thing I miss since I left him. I really need to train the kids to do it asap.

Oh and doing the cat litter but while that's unpleasant, I feel it's a worthwhile price to pay for having cats.

minipie · 28/09/2020 14:54

Teeth brushing haters - I have a solution which is I read a book while doing it! I always keep a book in the bathroom for this. Now I even slightly look forward to it.

I hate hate driving. I mostly manage to avoid it, but then it’s even worse when I have to do it.

Putting clothes away is up there too.

But none of these tasks compare to the mind numbing combination of stress and tedium that is getting an overtired sleep resistant small baby to sleep, multiple times a day. My god that was the worst. So grateful nap days are long over.

LadySeaThing · 28/09/2020 14:58

I always hated flossing but after someone mentioned them on here I got a water flosser. Still a bit of a chore but SO much easier.

QueenOfPain · 28/09/2020 15:00

All of the above.
