We have more votes now, there is one suggestion taking over: Black Perspectives
With Black Mums Matter in 2nd place.

Will leave it up for anyone to continue voting.

@Mixedandproud

Why not have a section entitled @PatricksRum, then she can argue with herself which I think she would be exceptionally good at.
Great idea. Feel free to start your own thread and ask them.

Mumsnet - Please also listen to the other views expressed on this thread.
PatricksRum does not speak for all black people and seems to be revelling in all the attention. She is telling anyone she disagrees with to fuck off, (mainly white people) and has shown she is in favour or discriminating against anyone who is not black.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I keep learning of all these things I'm doing. Getting married and now telling people to fuck off because I don't agree with them.

@PatricksRum - Why not have a read through many of the posts you’ve written and remind yourself as you appear to have forgotten. I notice when you are talking to Mumsnet your tone is very different.

Dear Mumsnet - Please read through the thread for yourselves and look at all the constructive points made, not just the points made by PatricksRum who has her own agenda and has let a bit of power intoxicate her it seems.

Why not show me where I've repeatedly told posters to fuck off?

Mumsnet won't read your post.

I thought HQ were giving you the requested section? Why is it taking so long for them to get it up and running?

Not sure. Going to query it with them in the morning to see the progress.

AFAIK, the majority of posters who have disagreed with the idea, have identified themselves as (or alluded to the fact that they are) white. The majority of posters who have supported the idea are actually a healthy mix of (again, self identified) black and white posters. There have been very few posters who have identified themselves as black and have disagreed with the proposition. The majority of posters who have engaged and identified themselves as black have been in support of the new space. The space is intended to offer advice and support for issues that affect black people, so that is the demographic we are prioritising when it comes to ideas or concerns being put forwards. Taking into consideration all of the above, I don't think it would be appropriate to discard the idea of creating the section when it seems to be a welcome addition for a lot of people that it would directly affect. Therefore, I think the few that do largely disagree with the concept should voice their concerns to MNHQ ([email protected]) in order that any amendments that are important to make are heard by the right people, ie: the team that is creating the section at MNHQ.

I've disabled the comments but I might close the poll and start again, I don't like the fact their comments remain.

Sad That makes me feel a bit sick, WTAF is WRONG with some people (using the term people loosely there as can't be very human)

Yeah, good idea, shouldn't have to though.
Disable comments if you set up a new one so racist trolls can at least not spout off

AMemeByAnyOtherName · 14/09/2020 01:35

I knew the trolls would vote for Black Power. Predictable and boring.
