It's 11.30pm here, and I must sleep. Very busy day tomorrow. But the house is silent, and I want to be awake to enjoy it.

I stayed up reading too late last night and now I'm sleepy. We're having chicken stew for dinner tonight, lovely.

@DorisDaisyMay - at least with your phone to hand, if you get stuck in the bath again, you can tell us and we'll rescue you.

I have cleaned the hallway skirting in full.

I’ve turned on the oven to preheat for the apple cake.

I’ve made an offer on 3 vintage prints on eBay. They would look great in the dining room.

I'm waiting for a delivery. New winter boots. I've not eaten a meal as such today, but snacked all day and I can't think of what to cook for dinner. I need to hoover and wipe the kitchen down.

My bedroom light that I ordered yesterday has just arrived, wasn't suppose to arrive for another 5 days

did not actually do my laundry as I had promised to do. I did it this morning before work! Too tired to cook and someone else was in the kitchen when I got home so went out and bought white button smarties things and Tunnock wafers. Not an idea thing to eat for dinner but whatever......

I feel like we should definitely incorporate unboxings into this thread!

I miss when you went shopping in town in your lunch hour and your colleagues would say - ooh, what did you get from (Clarks, House of Fraser, Hotel Chocolat etc). Once 5p carrier bags came in, that stopped.

I came back from work to face the following:
DS internet stick wasn't working - I switched it on for him
DD got her scanmarker we set it up and tested it - which was fun
DD's friends have brought their cats home - we got a lot of cute pictures

I had a nice blueberry muffin and a latte while I waited for DS at swimming.

I got far too excited this afternoon when the sewing pattern I've been waiting for arrived.

While waiting for ds to come out of school a man was threatening drivers.

Not exciting in any way but quite scary.

I was stung by a wasp as I cleaned my teeth today.

I decided to get lunch for the first time since lockdown from the canteen at work. They have a restricted menu, and I obviously went to lunch too late, as all that was left was chips. I had brought an ‘afters’ from home which was a bag of plain crisps. I basically ate potato and no other food group.

I'm rewatching the Hunger Games movies.

I also have raging pmt and want to eat all the chocolate.

I’m quite nervous about tomorrow. But we have pie and chips for dinner and are watching a Netflix documentary about computer games. Then we might watch something else, or I might do some gaming myself.

It's so chilly here I'm wearing my 'winter' dressing gown (with hood) rather than wafting about in my lovely summer kimono-am rather perturbed

My cheese is too melty. It's not my usual brand and it's a big block and has been a constant dissapointment all week.

We ran out of coffee filter papers this morning. DH improvised with kitchen roll. It worked out fine (#homeworkinghacks). I still walked to our nearest Tesco to buy proper ones after work, as it didn’t sit right with me.

DS1 accidentally cremated his brownie pudding in the microwave after dinner. The house still stinks of burnt sugar.

My life is so dull I logged back onto work for an extra 2 hours this evening just to pass the time

Had an all in one dish / casserole for dinner. Followed by apple cake.
It tasted like autumn!

Asking around noone in the house knows the latest news. We've clearly all sunk into a state of apathy about national / world affairs.
