Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I'm trying to motivate myself to go to the tip later today,

BusyDreaming · 21/09/2020 13:07

Something of a triumph here.
I’ve detangled the matted bits under my dogs ears this morning.

Spudlet · 21/09/2020 14:13

D old dog and I went for a long walk in the sunshine this morning. There were partridge and pheasant everywhere, so ddog had fun reliving his gundog glory days and flushing loads of them. Not sure how much the birds enjoyed it mind you.

Now about to go and strip DS of his uniform and go to get the groceries from Tesco (click and collect FTW).

WouldBeGood · 21/09/2020 14:33

@BusyDreaming as the owner of a hairy eared dog I am impressed.

FawnDrench · 21/09/2020 14:34

There is hedgehog poo on my lawn.

I have watered all my fuchsias and hanging baskets even though they will get a massive soaking all this week when it pours down.

No 4-pint cartons of semi-skimmed milk in my local Tesco's; and several other shelves seemed worryingly devoid of groceries.

Kisforkaylied · 21/09/2020 17:22

I went to ASDA earlier and got DD1 some new pyjamas with the shopping and she loves them.

Champagneforeveryone · 21/09/2020 17:24

I went to Aldi on the way home from the dull and uninteresting course.

I'm a recent convert from Waitrose, so still find the whole affair somewhat fraught. I then realised there were no bags in the car.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 21/09/2020 17:33

The hibiskus plant NDN gave me has not lost one bud and is flowering like anything. I am careful not to disturb it.

soddingkitten · 21/09/2020 17:39

I finished editing the complicated document that I have been putting off for 3 weeks. It was every bit as boring and morale sapping as I had expected. I’m considering having a glass of wine and some Bombay mix to celebrate finishing it.

Vintagevixen · 21/09/2020 17:52

I am happy because I have had a cat flap put in and can now get rid of the litter tray, and my door repainted in a cheerful sky blue.

Plus my new built in cupboards are thrilling me!!

cheeseychovolate · 21/09/2020 18:41

Went to the tip, had to queue for 30 minutes!

Lazysundayafternoons · 21/09/2020 18:43

Started making Christmas present lists today. Going to give myself this week to add/remove items from the list, then on Saturday I'm going to buy and get it all over with.

Franke · 21/09/2020 18:52

I went to Ikea today to buy a couple of things for our laundry room. I didn't buy a hot dog after the check out because the queue was too long.

VictoriaBun · 21/09/2020 18:56

Spent the afternoon tidying the garden , cutting back ready for autumn.
Will be doing my Sainsbury's order for click and collect later . Currently drinking a peppermint tea.
Had my 2021 calendar delivered today from Amazon.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 21/09/2020 19:23

On Sudany a decided that from now on I would clean a room each day from Monday to Thursday and even allocated a time.
Of course I had to work two hours longer then intended and it all fell down. I think I'll stick do 'do it all on saturday'

soddingkitten · 21/09/2020 19:28

DH just told me he is going to iron his green screen sheet. He has to record an acceptance speech for a work award. The results haven’t been announced yet, but all the shortlisted candidates have to submit their acceptance speeches in advance.

I am getting sick of runner beans now ours are cropping heavily. There is no space in our freezer to freeze them instead of eating them. If DS’s COVID test comes back positive, they will be our roughage lifeline so I feel bad about hating on them.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 21/09/2020 19:47

I think Delia has recipes for preserving runner beans in jars

soddingkitten · 21/09/2020 19:48

Thank you Millenium. I will have a look for a recipe.

Ruthietuthie · 21/09/2020 19:49

@QuestionableMouse, get your photograph of your manky toe over to Sporner's Corner where it will truly be appreciated.

BillywigSting · 21/09/2020 20:44

I have pizza on it's way and a large glass of gin, this is my weekend and I tend to thoroughly enjoy it because my last couple of shifts have been an utter horror show.

I have done basically nothing today apart from the school run and bit of tidying up but tit about on YouTube and read. I plan to continue in this vein for the rest of the evening and I might just feel human again by tomorrow.

SpeedofaSloth · 21/09/2020 20:54

Just think how lovely it'd feel

Good point well made. I am off to eBay.

HelenaJustina · 21/09/2020 20:57

I didn’t go for a run this morning because it was too dark at the unholy hour at which I arose.

So I went this evening instead.

Allington · 21/09/2020 21:02

Took DDog on the bus for the first time collecting DD from dance class. DDog not very impressed. Prefers chauffeur driven cars.

AnneBoleynsHead · 21/09/2020 21:21

boatyardblues ask your Dr for Citalopram for menopausal mood swings. Saved my sanity & my marriage

boatyardblues · 21/09/2020 21:23

Thank you Anne. I will look into that.
