Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

Champagne
Added both to my vocabulary list Grin - brushed cotton is a really fitting word - I actually call it 'Bieber'.

Allington · 20/09/2020 20:11

I'm sorry. But a canine youth theatre group would have been WAY too exciting, but Zoom or otherwise.... Grin

Allington · 20/09/2020 20:12

BY Zoom or otherwise...

QuestionableMouse · 20/09/2020 20:18

Gross nail warning.

Tripped over while out with my dog and I've bent one of my toe nails back. It's black and gross and had been bleeding. Vom.

qazxc · 20/09/2020 20:22

I have stuck two stickers on our bins with our house numbers so that I don't have to guess whose wheely bin is whose on collection day. ( even though I usually take the lazy way out and wait until all neighbours have retrieved theirs).

SpeedofaSloth · 20/09/2020 20:34

Ooh, wincyette. As in wincyette nighties. Haven't heard of one for ages.

SpeedofaSloth · 20/09/2020 20:36

Though I have just looked and there are loads on eBay.

MarieVanGoethem · 20/09/2020 20:51

Am willing to concede the excitement of [Juvenile] Doggie Thespians - but if it were your normal it probably wouldn’t seem very exciting...

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 20/09/2020 21:10

I would quite like a wincyette nightie.

QuestionableMouse · 20/09/2020 21:17

I messaged my partner with a pic of my manky toe, expecting at least a bit of sympathy.

He sent back a laughing face and asked if I wanted some purple spray on it. 🤨

(lighthearted, he is a wonderful man and if it was serious he'd be the first to help)

SallySeven · 20/09/2020 21:18

I've discovered SkyArts on Freeview and I'm quite pleased.

SpeedofaSloth · 20/09/2020 21:41

Me too, @MilleniumHallsWalledGarden. Just pondering if there is one DH wouldn't laugh at.

Squirrel26 · 20/09/2020 21:41

I’ve got someone else’s wheelie bin at the moment. The bin men gave me the wrong one back. I can’t be arsed to return it and track down mine.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 20/09/2020 23:21

@SpeedofaSloth

Me too, *@MilleniumHallsWalledGarden*. Just pondering if there is one DH wouldn't laugh at.

I think I'd just have to brazen it out. Just think how lovely it'd feel Grin

sueelleker · 21/09/2020 08:37

@Squirrel26. How do you know it's not yours? The only way I can tell the ones in our street apart are the ones with numbers on (ours included)

Spudlet · 21/09/2020 08:39

I watched the dullest programme in the world last night. It was a film of The Ghan, which is a train which goes from Adelaide to Darwin in Australia. It’s basically a camera stuck to the side of the train, drone shots of the scenery, occasional shots of the inside of the train and captions of factoids about the place.

It was the most relaxing, soporific thing I’ve seen since the one in New Zealand. It will on iPlayer if anyone really needs to unwind in the evening...!

Squirrel26 · 21/09/2020 09:21

@sueelleker it’s got someone else’s house number on it! It’s also a different bin - it’s smaller than mine, which I assume is why it’s rightful owners have not been round to retrieve it...

Allington · 21/09/2020 09:38

I left a half empty bag of potting soil outside the back door yesterday because I couldn't be bothered to put it away. DDog is having the time of her life with it, crackly plastic AND something to dig. She has a light dusting of soil all over her muzzle.

Champagneforeveryone · 21/09/2020 10:25

I'm on a course today.

I can categorically say that it is both dull and unexciting.

Strawberrycreamsundae · 21/09/2020 10:48

I’ve overdone it this morning:
Done a big pile of ironing and put it away
Emptied the greenhouse of tomato plants, picked two large bowlfuls, sorted out unripe ones to put on window sill to ripen
Discovered Mr and Mrs Toad under pots (they were not amused!)
Tidied lower patio
Now having a coffee and a rest 😎 in the sunshine

Squirrel26 · 21/09/2020 11:24

I am worried about my Clematis. I don’t think it’s happy.

(I’m at work. But I’m worrying from a distance.)

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 21/09/2020 11:27

There is a buzzing fly in here Hmm

SallySeven · 21/09/2020 11:29

The warm sun has packed up and left until next year I think.
Outside looks pretty dull and unexciting as a result.

OublietteBravo · 21/09/2020 11:31

My heated airer has arrived. Just ahead of the forecast cool and wet weather.

soddingkitten · 21/09/2020 12:15

Sodding Kitten is happy to have more service humans and warm laps available (see yesterday’s COVID testing update).

The noise of extra people in the house after 2 weeks’ peace and the TV on in the background is distracting. I have a complicated document to proof read and I am struggling to make headway.
