Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams - sure PM me.

OnceUponAMidnightBeery - I've not tested the sewing machine but it looks good. Obviously its not electric but the needle goes up and down. Its very beautiful too - probably 1920s or so Jones with gold leaf decoration. Lovely. I might see if I can sell it.

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2020 20:10

Oh and by the way - I'm not a fan of the penguins either!

I have just come home from work and am trying somewhat unsuccessfully to muster the energy to get a shower.
I really must though. My job involves far too much of other people's bodily fluids not to.

Phillipa12 · 19/09/2020 20:49

I have just sorted out my tupperware draw.

Frownette · 19/09/2020 20:53

I feel a lot better than I did this morning. But it's been a write off day.

Pointless Celebrities is on. Is Pointless the only program that is now on live BBC? Do they just play it on a loop?

The80sweregreat · 19/09/2020 21:19

I'm watching pointless celebs too.
Such a fun Saturday night .. not!
Patsy kensit has had work I think ..

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2020 21:20

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams

Both of these have moveable arms. Which one you wanna adopt?

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2020 21:23

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams - adoption is obviously a serious business so you will need to be carefully screened...

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/09/2020 21:30

The smaller one please (on the right in the second picture).

Well, I can faithfully promise I never cut my Barbie's hair, and I made rugs for my toy horses by cutting up a j-cloth, so when they'd been ridden along the dining room table gallops they wouldn't be cold when they went back to their cut up cereal box stables.

She'd also be going to live with other white rabbits, so I could post a picture of her in her new home (if the thread is still running).

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2020 21:45

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams

That seems satisfactory. Re-homing pictures will be required. I also housed my (Julip) horses in cereal boxes - they were very happy. That swung it. To be honest I'm not sure about the J cloths admission but we all have to make do and mend from time to time.

Frownette · 19/09/2020 21:53

I've been ill all day but just managed to struggle to the shop because I had a yen for a carbonated drink.

I rested my hand on a fence on the way back and a beautiful little cat wriggled out to say hello. I've seen it before but it's never been friendly before. I didn't stop too long with it as it's always worrying when they start to follow you.

Good Thing: My new medication was finally delivered this evening.

Good Thing: I haven't had an allergic reaction to it.

Bad Thing: It's Consentyx. So it stings like a bastard.

Bad Thing: I have to have two injections of it a time.

Bad Thing: Every week for the next month.

Good Thing: Then it goes to being stung by two wasps once every month.

Good Thing: It might work on my PsA.

mathanxiety · 20/09/2020 00:50

I was out on my deck on Thursday afternoon and saw something that looked like a dragonfly coming toward me, but it turned out to be a hummingbird Smile. Nobody believes me because I didn't have my phone on me to take a photo, and the local garden centres are closing up as it's the end of the season so I couldn't find a hummingbird feeder to attract it back.

My oven was fixed on Thursday morning and we had a frozen pizza tonight to celebrate.

MarieVanGoethem · 20/09/2020 02:56

I have just reported this week’s failure to empty my foodwaste bin. Said bin is now full, so think have reached alarming point it’ll qualify as exciting when the sodding thing gets emptied.

I need to fill out some (online) forms for my dentist before my appointment on Tuesday morning. Am not quite awake enough to do it now: don’t really want to mess them up, funnily enough.

Have just realised I didn’t have any tea & am really quite hungry now. Bother.

The80sweregreat · 20/09/2020 08:19

Had a new sofa delivered today.
First piece of new furniture in years.

MutteringDarkly · 20/09/2020 09:35

Grocery delivery due soon then I have to deliver on a rash promise from yesterday to take DC out on a Pokemon Go walk.

Going to see work colleagues tomorrow (outside) for first time since March - feels very weird!

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 20/09/2020 09:36

My hair usually of the 'overcooked spaghetti' behaviour decided to un-follow gravity and to stick up after washing. I hope it changes its mind.

I have lost 2 kg , which is good, but need to lose another 4, which is boring.

SpeedofaSloth · 20/09/2020 09:52

Today my ambition is to conquer the ironing mountain. It will be long and dull but probably worth it in the end. I have 5 baskets full.
