The news this morning was full of the tundra melting. Ray would have got stuck in a muddy hole and more fool him for taking a bike to Siberia!

We had Dominos pizza for tea. Initially DH was all po-faced by text and said he’d have a healthy dinner instead, but messaged me to say he’d changed his mind AFTER I’d placed the order. I topped up the empty pizza space with some hot buttered white toast topped with golden syrup. No prizes for nutrition here today, but I have awful period pain and I’m feeling sorry for myself. Golden syrup toast is better than paracetamol, true fact. Just because no one has done clinical trials to prove it doesn’t mean it is untrue.

DS now has a pair of school wellies (they do forest school) and a flashing light for his bike helmet (we are essentially a Christmas tree on wheels). And we have been to my favourite coffee shop for a takeaway - their millionaire shortbread is bloody amazing. I don’t normally drink coffee with caffeine, so waiting for the sugar and caffeine shakes to kick in...!

DS is now watching The Good Dinosaur again - must be at least the 15 millionth time this week (it’s not one of my favourite films) while DH slopes off to play some racing games upstairs.

I went to print something at the library.

You get given a keyboard and mouse which you then have to hand back to be wiped down.

I then got two books out on driving theory.

Booked a haircut for the end of November.

Putting laundry away.

I have a burning desire to know: when people take clothes off coat hangers to wear do they:

a. Replace the empty coat hanger back where it was, making it harder to find the empty hangers again

b. Put the empty coat hanger at the end of the rail, handy if you always remember to do it

c. Most people have their clothes mostly folded so it's a non-issue

I just fell down a rabbit hole of millionair short bread related recipes. Where to start???

^I don't want cause a debate as that is way too much for this thread.

I did a little bit of research:
I am of the replace at the end of the rail persuasion, but DD and DH just leave them where they are and DS folds (thows) his stuff into Kallax boxes.

I started the day watching Brian Cox. The sun is going to explode in 6 billion years. It put my existential angst into perspective.

Free-anything is not on my priority list, but if it is tasty in itself (and not a simulation), I try almost everything.

Had crumpets for lunch, smothered lightly spread with Dairylea. I might be feeling slightly queasy now.

Had to get up at 7am this morning; DH and I had early appointments at our GP surgery for flu jabs (regular ones, not Covid)

DH is watching Netflix.

I am not watching Netflix.

I am flitting about on here instead.

My park vouchers arrived. I’ve spent it all, in about 10mins flat but hey I have lots of Christmas presents now.

I’ve binged watched Why Women Kill, it was absolutely brilliant and made me cry! Can’t wait for series two.

Jacket potato for me for dinner DH and DC are having pork loin steaks.

I made cornflake tart today and it looks delicious. Will have a slice after tea.

I'm going to make a ham and coleslaw sandwich. I've had a glass of cider so I'm a little tispy so may pair it with a coffee.

Or maybe another glass of cider. Hmm.

I bought a cheap bedside lamp this week. Discovered that it was touch control when I got it home. Couldn’t wait for it to go dark.
Just remembered I dropped a chocolate mint down the side of the car seat 2 days ago. Off to try and find it.
