Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I pegged my washing out this morning. It was cloudy all day and when I brought it in after tea it still felt damp.
My tumble drier is broken.

HelenaJustina · 16/09/2020 21:36

DH and I had soup and toast for dinner. Don’t even feel guilty that I didn’t cook from scratch. Can’t wait for Gin Friday after another frustrating day at work.

WouldBeGood · 16/09/2020 21:58

My new pink planters came and I’ve ordered fountain bamboos to go in them.

My ds willl forever be known as the boy from the pink planters house.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 16/09/2020 22:50

Hanuta have put a new milk-nut,-chocolate bar on the market. I just ate two, that's my calories gone.

Imissmoominmama · 16/09/2020 22:52

The cat is snoring little cat snores. It’s quite nice.

MeganChips · 16/09/2020 22:55

My goldfish is feeling much better after a few days sitting on the bottom of the tank and is back swimming around lots and begging for food. I am very pleased!

anxietrist · 16/09/2020 23:01

There's a bit of a smell in the bathroom and I'm not sure if it's the drain or damp towels or an outside smell... I'll put the towels in the wash and some of that drain odour eliminator down the plug hole I think - the mr muscle one usually works well.

Somanysocks · 16/09/2020 23:07

I've been wondering for a few days now whether it's ok to pick the copious apples overhanging the pavement at the house up the road.

Susannahmoody · 17/09/2020 01:34

Went for a lovely long bike ride alone today, weather was glorious. Lots of red leaves too

Made an enormous pot of veggie curry, its actually quite nice. Had it with BBQ curry chicken and rice

Ordered some pants for DS, they're a bit big, will have to exchange them

mathanxiety · 17/09/2020 04:37

Fingers crossed the oven repair man will show up tomorrow as promised. Also fingers crossed DD4 will set her alarm and wake up in time to let him in.

I have eleven mosquito bites on my legs and arms after an hour outdoors yesterday.

Champagneforeveryone · 17/09/2020 07:35

I have a Covid antibody test and am bitterly regretting booking it so early

soddingkitten · 17/09/2020 08:22

I have mosquito bites too. The one on my ankle is red, itchy and has swollen into a big puffy lump which my sock is cutting into. I never thought I’d be taking antihistamines in the UK in September to calm mozzie bites.

Spudlet · 17/09/2020 08:36

Went to get the bikes out for the school run this morning and Shelob has moved into our bike shed. Left and speed and dispatched DH to get them out. I was wearing flip flops...! Nope nope nope nope.

That said, I reckon if we were to send a picture of it to our insurers our premiums would fall... cos there’s no way a burglar would get past without being eaten Shock

Spudlet · 17/09/2020 08:37

Left AT speed, that should say 🙄

sueelleker · 17/09/2020 08:47

Shelob has moved into our bike shed Grin (But at the same time, urghh-I hate spiders)

Frownette · 17/09/2020 08:55

Jeeesus Christ never go to the post office 15 minutes walk away and cars are going to work and there's roadworks and children rush hour. So many close encounters I can't remember.

Swerve a child. Swerve a car. Get banged into shop shelf by streaming children. Get directed across street by roadwork people. Try to write card to great aunt and realise I have my facemask on and can't lick envelope.

Luckily I only work afternoons so can relax for a bit after the assault course.

Champagneforeveryone · 17/09/2020 09:05

I've been to the new Aldi. I'm a little flustered by such efficiency and found myself sat in my car clutching my items approximately 2 minutes after I entered the shop.
This has made me absurdly early for my antibody test, which I'm not allowed to be Confused

sueelleker · 17/09/2020 09:43

@Frownette; I always use peel and stick envelopes- I tend to cut my tongue if licking!

Do a second circuit to peruse the ‘middle of Lidl‘ and come out with a set of drill bits and a salad spinner you didn’t know you needed. Plus some flavoured Hortus gin. (Or is that just me?)

Good idea. There was a limited selection of cards though and they all seemed to be ones you had to lick.

I nearly asked a passerby to lick it but then thought how weird that would be.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 17/09/2020 10:47

Four crane flies removed (as in, set free outdoors) from our bedroom this morning. The summer I was expecting DC1 I was hopelessly scared of them.

QuestionableMouse · 17/09/2020 12:02

I had to put fuel in the car so treated myself to a subway from the garage. Asked for a side of hash browns and the fella clearly misheard because they're in the sandwich. I somehow missed it happening and didn't realise at all until. I got home and bit into said sandwich. It was an unnecessarily unnerving experience.

QuestionableMouse · 17/09/2020 12:03

I mean just look at this abomination. Hash browns do not belong in a ham and turkey sandwich.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 17/09/2020 12:10

What is the brown stuff? Looks like gravy.

I like hash browns in a bacon sarnie

FawnDrench · 17/09/2020 12:13

I had a cheese and pickle sandwich for my lunch.

I used "small sized" pickle chunks as I find the normal type too unwieldy in the bread.

The smooth pickle however is too unchunky and crunchless for me.
