Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I received a car insurance quote in the post but it's irrelevant as I've already gone with someone else.

It's a bit more windy here today than it was yesterday.

I've decided not to do any baking today.

BillywigSting · 16/09/2020 12:09

All notions of productivity went out of the window and I did indeed have a nap.

I feel quite a lot better now, but I'm going to have some coffee first before I crack on.

FabulouslyFab · 16/09/2020 13:22

I have apple chutnied again. So many apples .....

forgetthehousework · 16/09/2020 13:29

I am ignoring all the rubbish in the garden.

CMOTDibbler · 16/09/2020 14:10

I had my eyes tested. As expected, I am more middle aged. New glasses in 2 weeks or so

BillywigSting · 16/09/2020 14:22

The new leggings I bought yesterday are too big around the waist (but fit nicely around my very generous bum) and keep falling down which is both disappointing and annoying. I really like them though and they were last pair so I'll stick a stitch or two in the waistband later.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 16/09/2020 14:37

I can't stop eating strawberry liquorice. I can't get started with the piece of work I'm supposed to be doing. I'm not doing very well today.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 16/09/2020 16:33

I met a friend for lunch. We've not met in rl for nearly three months. She is such good company the food could have been carrot peel and dandelions, we wouldn't have noticed.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 16/09/2020 17:22

DH is away for work tomorrow (thankfully events are slowly starting up again). His train goes around 10am not his usual 4am so I get a bit more sleep.

SunshineCake · 16/09/2020 17:27

I can report that my accidental watering of the kitten can't have traumatised her too much as she is sleeping in almost the same spot. She blinked at me like I was blinding her though when I asked if she was okay.

Emma1962 · 16/09/2020 17:57

I’ve got really bad toothache. I just want to curl up in bed & cry. It’s an ongoing saga. Hoping to see the dentist again on Friday. Feeling sorry for myself. I’m also meant to be at slimming world tonight but have been sympathy eating crap & can’t face it.

OublietteBravo · 16/09/2020 18:00

I started a new box file to keep all the paperwork relating to my car in one place.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 16/09/2020 18:11

DS just has introduced me to Fable the raven on YT.

soddingkitten · 16/09/2020 18:21

NDN had landscapers in their garden today so I kept Sodding Kitten in. I thought he’d be a pain in the backside. He slept for most of the day.

FawnDrench · 16/09/2020 19:05

Apparently it's now 100 days to err, you know, that thing that happens once a year, or used to anyway.

I thought it was going to rain earlier, so rushed out to bring in the washing.
But it didn't rain at all.

The washing was dry though, so that's okay.

SpeedofaSloth · 16/09/2020 19:11

I bought a new lunchbox today, one of those fancy Sistema ones with all the compartments.

BaldAndWild · 16/09/2020 19:17

The white bits on a couple of conkers have gone wrinkly and brown.

QuestionableMouse · 16/09/2020 19:19

I'm worried that I might not be able to go on the holiday I booked. (York for three nights, mostly to catch up with friends who I haven't seen for almost a year) because covid cases are shooting up in my area. Multiple schools are reporting cases and I'm kinda expecting a local lockdown. I'll abide by it but I'll be absolutely gutted.

BaldAndWild · 16/09/2020 19:19

Way too exciting for this thread but I also have sistema lunch boxes and love Fable the raven!

"boop boop!"
"hi Fable!"
MWAH

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 16/09/2020 19:34

Bald - ravens are great!

My autumn / winter coat arrived - I usually wear sth discarded by others or sth. 'well it's cheap and does the job'.
But this year I bought sth warm, in a lovely green colour, with enough pockets - some big enough for a kindle and a tablet.
I am actually excited and happy.

But I will clam down soon.

BillywigSting · 16/09/2020 20:32

Fable the raven is a great little bird. He's so clever and sweet.

I did two loads of laundry today but only managed to get one of them dry.

Sciatica feels like it's flaring up again. Dreading work tomorrow and taking lots of painkillers in my bag.

Taswama · 16/09/2020 20:47

Put 5 bags of stuff for charity in the boot of the car. Hopefully DP will take them to the charity shop at some point.
Had a Twix from the chocolate machine at work and dunked it in my mocha from the drinks machine.

MrsRogerLima · 16/09/2020 20:48

My inner ear on the right side is super itchy. It's driving me a bit lala

whatsoccuringnow · 16/09/2020 20:56

I put a memory foam topper on the bed in DS room which I lie on every evening to get my DS to sleep. It's still not first but better than it was.

BurtonHouse · 16/09/2020 21:07

MrsRoger you have my sympathy.
I've had the same for almost two years. It's very irritating but too trivial to go to the doctor with. Sorry I have no advice.
In other news, dh is eating crisps very noisily and I may have to kill him.
