Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

Iceland has been and I've put it away.

HelpOrHindrance · 14/09/2020 12:04

I'm watching paint dry

FabulouslyFab · 14/09/2020 12:10

I want to win the lottery. Not a lot, enough so that I can quit this hellish job and be happy to take a lower paid one locally, and still be able to pay my bills.

FawnDrench · 14/09/2020 12:40

I've just put my empty Cheetos packet in the bin.

I might do an Internet kettle search later as I fancy a new one. The current one is looking a bit tired.

Today I opened the windows earlier than usual as it's such a lovely day.

boatyardblues · 14/09/2020 12:55

Eating lunch (remains of last night’s pasta bake reheated) in the garden on this glorious day. My forearms are starting to sizzle and mozzarella strings keep sticking to my chin. I’ll have to do a sauce spatter check in the mirror before I resume my afternoon work zoom calls. Cat is lightly baking himself on the patio.

florestorres · 14/09/2020 13:05

I walked into town for the exercise. Then I got the little bus back. I can only manage walking into town as it's down hill.

Custardcreambiccy · 14/09/2020 13:51

The new doormat in the hall seems to be settling in nicely.

I could post a photo if anyone's keen.

userxx · 14/09/2020 14:18

@Custardcreambiccy Yes please, I need a new doormat so would appreciate a photo.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 14/09/2020 14:27

I've washed out my salt pot. It was almost empty, and must have got a bit damp because the holes were clogging. I'll put it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days before I refill it, so I know it's completely dry.

30daysoflight · 14/09/2020 14:28

I got up early to wait for my pharmacy delivery. They did not arrive.
I shall repeat tomorrow.

BillywigSting · 14/09/2020 14:36

I have done almost none of the jobs I was supposed to do today.

I have instead sat on my bed with the bedroom window open, enjoying the warm breeze and generally recovering from the weekend.

I really should peg my washing out before picking up ds though. And maybe do my lunch dishes.

Custardcreambiccy · 14/09/2020 14:51

Here's the new doormat, @userxx. It seems to have made friends with the doorstop, so all good there.

userxx · 14/09/2020 14:57

Nice! It looks like it will trap the wet once the rubbish weather arrives. Might pop to Dunelm on my way home now.

SunshineCake · 14/09/2020 16:45

I had so much washing today I used every single peg. And broke one which is normal Hmm.

My petrol light came on as very low on fuel so had to stop on way to get DS.

Someone in my child's bubble has been sent home to get a covid rest today.

SunshineCake · 14/09/2020 16:50

My cat was also baking himself on the trampoline. I was quite concerned and told him to lie underneath the trampoline as there was shade. He ignored me.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 14/09/2020 16:57

Unexpectedly warm day today - I bought some plants for DD's room. The kind that does not need direct sun.

DD bought chocolate which is nice.

Spudlet · 14/09/2020 17:39

My sports bra pinged open today. It’s a zip up the front one. I didn’t think it was under that much strain Blush

It was quite new so I emailed the company with a picture of the broken zip, and got an email back with a refund almost straight away. Very pleased. I have ordered a non-zipping one now to try. A purple one. I am very excited about it.

I should also be getting a new cycle helmet tomorrow, so long as Halfords don’t let me down.

Frownette · 14/09/2020 17:44

Don't know really, since I got back earlier was surprised to put a hand on neck and discover it was clammy.

It was foggy this morning and quite chilly so temp must have risen since then.

sueelleker · 14/09/2020 17:44

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams My Mum used to put a few grains of rice in the salt shaker; don't know if it actually worked...

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 14/09/2020 17:55

I do too, it works - apparently the rice draws the humidity.
That's why you dry mobiles in rice.

PuzzledObserver · 14/09/2020 18:08

We’re having lasagna for tea.

Truzza · 14/09/2020 18:25

Today it was 25 degrees here, so I decided to make chutney it took hours and the house smells of vinegar 🙄

Truzza · 14/09/2020 18:27

@Custardcreambiccy

Here's the new doormat, *@userxx*. It seems to have made friends with the doorstop, so all good there.
That really made me laugh 😂
Truzza · 14/09/2020 18:31

Whilst making chutney I was on the phone complaining to Santander about stupid interest charges on my credit card
They refunded me

Taswama · 14/09/2020 18:48

Watched Dark Waters at the weekend (very good film). I need a new frying pan and think I will get one without the teflon coating.
