Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I've had a very productive weekend doing all those boring jobs that need doing which culminated in the lawn mower falling off its mortal electrical coil with only half the lawn done 🙄

I have the house to myself finally and contemplating opening a bottle of wine - no work tomorrow so it'd be rude not to! Think I have a bag of salted cashew nuts somewhere & dc brought me a huge bar of chocolate earlier - perfect end to the weekend in my book!

FabulouslyFab · 13/09/2020 19:41

I am calorie counting but went out for a Sunday roast dinner plus dessert today. I have been eating crisp bread with butter since I got home. I think I shall disregard the count today ...............

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 13/09/2020 19:57

I am counting too - but I just had 4 slices of white toast with nutspread. I finished a FutureLearn language course and will call this "celebratory toast" and not count today.

I can see bats flying around the yard.

Trailing1 · 13/09/2020 20:02

I was going to Marie Kondo my wardrobe today. The stress of it/decision making made me want to lie down and take a nap so I left it.

boatyardblues · 13/09/2020 20:13

My tomato plant still only has the one flower.

I bought a women’s vitamin and mineral supplement for middle aged women today in the hope it will make me less grumpy/ragey and more energetic. It probably won’t make much difference, but I owe it to my family to give it a shot.

I made us minestrone soup for tea and we ate it in the garden because the weather is decent.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 13/09/2020 20:17

I think I might try the new ITV drama tonight. I'll try to finish my ironing first, or I won't concentrate fully on it and have no idea who anybody is.

183fredamarleymum · 13/09/2020 20:18

I found an orange twirl bar in teso express today. I was very strong and did not buy it, Might go back tomorrow though.

YouMakeABetterDoorThanAWinda · 13/09/2020 20:21

I sorted out the drawer that has medicines and first aid kit in it. I threw away some runaway cotton balls and an out of date eyebath.

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 13/09/2020 20:22

I've slept a lot today. I didn't waken till almost 1pm and then fell asleep on the sofa before 2, moved back to bed and slept till almost 7pm. Still tired but feel good for the catch up on sleep

SpeedofaSloth · 13/09/2020 21:10

I am watching telly and eating Haribo.

Jemimatheragdoll · 13/09/2020 21:28

After all the nuts and chocolate, I'm feeling a little queasy. The wine has naturally had absolutely no side effects whatsoever

soddingkitten · 13/09/2020 21:40

Sodding Kitten has been off the chart exuberant today, so is now asleep on my chest. I felt him get heavier and sink into me as he fell.

He faced down the big moggy next door today, claiming our garden as his territory in a tense 20 minute staring competition on the boundary wall. Big moggy turned tail and skulked away. I was so proud of him.

SunshineCake · 13/09/2020 21:43

My dog did her first poo in the sea today.

She enjoyed some chips afterwards.

She swam for the first time, half a stroke.

MsBouffet · 13/09/2020 22:15

I made apple crisps. They are really good. Sliced apple baked in the oven. Some of them are chewy and some are crispy. I put cinammon and pepper on them.

I am getting a lot of fitness ads. Apparently I am an endomorph (I watched this long Instagram video about it) and to lose weight I should alternate high/low carb days and do HIIT training. Worth a go.

Tomorrow is meant to be nice. I am going to go for a morning walk in the park.

monkeyonthetable · 14/09/2020 00:17

I did mountains of laundry today. The house smells so fresh from it all.

BillywigSting · 14/09/2020 08:15

I have a fairly chilled out day today after back to back shifts last weekend.

A bit of laundry, a quick whip round of the kitchen, then chasing a few tradesmen about various things, then quotes for a new bathroom. I'm not expecting it to cost the earth because it's barely big enough for a shower cubicle, a toilet and a sink. Going to go for the panel stuff rather than tiles. Mil has it hers and it looks lovely (and very easy to keep clean).

Even having a very non rushed school run, though we really should make a move soon.

ssd · 14/09/2020 08:16

I'm waiting for an Iceland delivery.
The chicken burgers were out of stock.

Champagneforeveryone · 14/09/2020 10:04

I'm going to Aldi today.

I normally shop in Waitrose, but a cursory whip up and down the aisles last week has convinced me I should give it a try.

Spudlet · 14/09/2020 11:38

Dropped DS off for his first unaccompanied morning at school today! He marched in without a backward look, although he was a bit perturbed that his teacher wouldn’t carry his bag for him Grin

I’ve had a horrible stressful weekend trying to decide whether the little cough that came with his cold was ‘continuous’ and trying and failing to book a test in case it was - however in the end, having done a lot of googling, I’ve decided it isn’t and have sent him off. Haven’t had a phone call yet demanding that I collect my plague rat child, so I guess I’ve made the right call (he has had no other symptoms, neither the ones the government says nor the ones Project Zoe says children get, like headaches and stomach upsets, so I reckon we’re ok and it really is just a cold, or I’d have kept him at home).

I’ve sent off a written exercise that job interview wanted and have been for a run in the woods, then I’ve had a coffee. In a minute I’m going to get on the bike and go and get DS in my sweaty running kit. Should ensure social distancing alright Blush

Spudlet · 14/09/2020 11:38

@Champagneforeveryone Ah, the middle aisle of dreams! Enjoy Grin

Frownette · 14/09/2020 11:39

I just put a glass down on my desk.

Bouledeneige · 14/09/2020 11:47

I tried to pop the now very deflated birthday balloons for my sons 18th and stabbed my thigh with the tip of the knife. It hurt and bled so I have a cross of plasters on my thigh now.

Champagneforeveryone · 14/09/2020 11:49
@Champagneforeveryone Ah, the middle aisle of dreams! Enjoy Grin
I shall be leaving DH home on that very premise Grin
Shopping at Waitrose there was never the risk of coming home with a set of ratchet spanner's and a trombone.

Bouledeneige · 14/09/2020 11:49

Also I couldn't log into my work network this morning. The machine got stuck buffering and I couldn't switch it off. I phoned IT and they advised me that I needed to use a pin on the little hole on the back of the tablet. I took some time to find the hole but managed it in the end. So I successsfully logged on.

Obviously I'm taking a little break from work now though.,,,
