Crack on, as you were, need a lie down and a bit of cosseting after the non stop thrill ride of the last thread. Just take it slow, ok?

I'm going to do a big whites wash, and I am going to bake a cake for my mother's birthday

Lazysundayafternoons · 13/09/2020 08:36

Just made a lovely breakfast of sausage, bacon, hash brown and white pudding for a treat.
Today I'm going to clear out the recycling (mostly Amazon boxes from the deliveries) and go to the bottle bank

Frownette · 13/09/2020 08:45

Going to breakfast shortly. Only have in mushrooms bread muffins cheese tomatoes. Ground coffee.

That'll do, right?

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 13/09/2020 08:47

i have set up DH's VoiceTracer so that he can record the talks he gives for those that cannot attend due to the plague.

I just realized that in order to set up the new set of shelves, I have to empty a 4x4 Kallax full of books on both sides and then pull it about 20 cm to the right and then fill it again.
I am calmly not looking forward to this.

Frownette · 13/09/2020 08:47

Eggs as well

Humm1ngb1rd · 13/09/2020 09:02

I made waffles for DD1 and me. DD2 came down so I gave her mine. There was enough left to make some more for me.

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 13/09/2020 09:28

I’m the only one up after an absolutely awful nights sleep. Even the dog is still in bed.

SengaMac · 13/09/2020 11:02

I'm still in bed at 11am.

I love black pudding but somehow I've never tried white pudding. I should do something about this. For now, I'm drinking coffee and contemplating getting dressed to go out for lunch.
Lazysundayafternoons · 13/09/2020 11:53

@BamboozledandBefuddled I alternate, one week i buy black pudding, the next i buy white pudding, both delicious.

1yo had a big fall this morning, he split his lip badly and there was so much blood Sad. He has gone for a nap now.

Ds1 went out with his dp to get the few bits of shopping I forgot, so i got ds1's birthday presents wrapped ready for Friday.

Going to put a chicken in the oven at 12 and hopefully have a lazy afternoon, will be watching the F1.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 13/09/2020 12:28

I've done it - the Kallax has been moved and all the books are back in their homes.

Had to google "hash browns" - that's what I would call Reibekuchen - delicious!!! But I would eat this with pumpernickel and beet syrup.

FawnDrench · 13/09/2020 13:41

This is my first post on the thread since Friday.

I've been doing extremely uninteresting and mundane things since I last posted.

A lovely big bee has just flown into some flowers in the garden.

I was mucking around with the notes app on my phone and you can do a checklist. So I made a list of all the jobs and activities I want to achieve this week. Then when you save it and tick a task it crosses it out for you. Riveting but it's made me look forward to a productive week ahead.

I discovered this too, it’s so satisfying.
MutteringDarkly · 13/09/2020 14:14

I was influenced into trying a cleaning/organising ap. Clearly all I've done so far is fiddle around customising it, rather than actually completing any tasks. When I ran out of things to customise and it was looking like there was a real risk I might have to do some of the listed things, I noticed it had a Christmas module. Opened that and it starts 13 weeks ahead of the 25th.

Decided to have a little lie down in awe of that level of planning.

Deathraystare · 13/09/2020 14:30

Bleepbloopblarp - let's hope there is a sale soon!

I am completely stuffed! I had lunch (well Sunday dinner) early due to coming into work this afternoon. Now feel really full.Cannot really have a snooze at reception If it isn't too exciting to know this, I had:

Veggie sausage toad in the hole
Rather smashed potatoes (still had skin on)
Spinach mornay - should have had this with some spinach but forgot.
Onion gravy

Yum!

Deathraystare · 13/09/2020 14:33

Tried to sort out my wardrobe but no room for my jackets and anyway, the bloody pole fell down again. Bloody flimsy thing (yes I am pissed off, can you tell?).

I will have to find the other wardrobes rail/pole thing and maybe put a few things in there. I haven't used it as a hanging wardrobe as it is even flimsier and drives me mad.

iklboo · 13/09/2020 14:37

DH has borrowed his mum's carpet cleaner machine and the front room carpet has come up quite nicely.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 13/09/2020 15:00

I've been listening to Elaine Paige as an excuse to stay in the kitchen where the radio is, and not go and do my ironing.

Spindlicious · 13/09/2020 15:03

DH has done 2 tip runs today. For a small house we don’t half seem to be able to store up a tonne of shite!

We’re having chippy chips for tea with slow cooked beef & carrots. The laziest tea ever apart from DH having to go out to get the chips (best chippy here doesn’t deliver but it’s worth going for them).

monkeyonthetable · 13/09/2020 15:33

The tomato plants were parched. I watered them but the watering can leaked and now my jeans are wet.

SpeedofaSloth · 13/09/2020 15:54

I am going to make some packed lunches for tomorrow then do a bit of the ironing mountain. I won't do all of it because it would take days.

Spudlet · 13/09/2020 17:50

I ironed DS’s uniform today. It’s the first time I’ve ironed anything (aside from seeing projects, to press out seams and things) for several years.

I am not looking forward to this new phase of ironing things.

Spudlet · 13/09/2020 17:51

Sewing projects, that should read.

Autumnchill · 13/09/2020 19:14

I've painted the coat cupboard and bath claw feet
