To clarify, the cat flap was unlocked in both directions. SK didn’t crack the return journey.

We have DD's friends' new cats videos. The feel fine and already dismantled a flower pot and a bit of wall paper. They are cuddly. (We miss our Sev.) Chairs have been assembled.

NDN came up with a Hibiscus plant to say thank you. We would take care of the cats anyway.

The doggy bag of curry left over from eating out last night was delicious! I padded it out with some homemade spicy rice.

The cat thinks it is time for his third tea. It is not.

i drove to a shopping centre 5 miles away for the 1st tine since February. I have driving phobia so a massive deal for me. I am rewarding myself now with a lot of alcohol 😀

In other, thankfully less exciting news, we have finally found our garden fence again having managed to strip off all the ivy, passion flower, Virginia creeper and honeysuckle. DH reckons the garden is six feet wider.

The fence needs replacing though.

I made two lovely pies today.

Not I have stomach pain as yep, still intolerant to pastry .

The dog is sat on my foot.

Haven't had a row with dd today .

I have two new blooms on my primrose plant but they look like roses.

I've just packed my food shop away

My mum's just text me for the 10th time to tell me she's still unable to get a Covid test since trying from 8 this morning

My downstairs loo was blocked, I could not shift it. Then I bought GreenGobbler and it did the trick. I now have a working downstairs loo.

Had a lovely day at work today. Very few people seem to want to work on Fridays, but there are enough people around to have interesting conversations.

I've woken up at 5.30am this morning, and am peering at the dog.

DS was delighted to tell me that last night DH left his bowl of thai food in the living room when he came up stairs to say good night ti other son.

The dog finished the Thai food. I have been very clear that DH wil be on dog watch today and dealing with any consequences. Poor dog.

Tomorrow (as I recently discovered) is DH's birthday.

DS and I are at work tomorrow night, hence I have burnt four small spots in our (three month old) worktop lighting a sparkler on his cake tonight.

I'm being quite jovial, but secretly I'm fuming

DS made cake for DPs birthday on Sunday. Annoyingly, it’s far better than any cane I’ve ever made.

My mum keeps asking me what I want for my birthday and I (truthfully) keep telling her I don't know.

I'm 30 in two weeks so feel like I should want something but all I really want is dinner out with my favourite people, which covid has put the kibosh on. So I'm feeling pretty resentful about that.

Back in work today again so will have to get a shower and get dressed soon.

DH cleaned the bathroom while I did the kitchen.
I could count on 1 hand how many times he has cleaned the bathroom in 30 years. Now no cleaners allowed, so it is his job.
Washing done and I am sitting with my dog.
Steak burgers for dinner, DH turn to cook.

DH is out to do the weekly shopping, DS will help to carry it home.

I've made my to do list in my b.journal: some furniture needs assembling bc I run out of book space, I need to sort the under bed storage and I need to find presents for DS's 18th birthday.

It's sunny and the little mouse has been back. It eats the mallow seeds.

I’ve been for my usual run, very bored with it now. Got the school uniforms to dry and iron, house to hoover, couple of birthday presents to drop at various houses, dance uniform to collect. I foresee a long day of chores with few (if any) visible results. Ho hum.

Ydl successfully delivered a parcel to us. No fuss, no hunt-the-parcel on neighbours' front gardens.

DD1 fell asleep around 6pm last night, was worried she’d wake up at stupid o’clock she actually woke up a 9.16.

DD1 has new glasses, they’re nice.

I’ve fallen in love with Wedgewood baubles for my tree but they’re £35 each.

Off to mothers today.

DH anounced that we'll have tortellini today and sth Japanese tomorrow.
He bought a lot of fruit and no chocolate.

I've dicovered mildew on my plants. Exciting - but in a bad way.

@Champagneforeveryone Gosh I did not know that could happen, sorry for that. At the least, you have educated some people on t'internet.

I got a new work laptop yesterday. Can wait to try it out 😐
