Asking for a handhold - DH in ICU

DH was taken into hospital last night with breathing difficulties. It was pretty minor, the paramedics weren't even going to take him in but we insisted. He's now in an induced coma on a ventilator. He's had 2 negative Covid tests so they don't think it's that but they don't know what it is.

I'm falling apart. He's my whole life. We have a 2 year old who is a complete Daddy's girl. I need him so much. I can't even be with him now because of COVID.

There are no words that can take away the pain.

I am SO very sorry. Mike sounded like a truly lovely man & you sound really lovely too . Life is so bloody unfair.

I ont know if this will help a tiny but it not, but my Dad died of a massive heart attack, some people who he was out with did CPR on him, but (obviously) it didn't work. They were rural, so the ambulance took a long time to get there & they tried as well. He had to gave an autopsy and I spoke to the pathologist & she said it was a massive heart attack and even if he'd been in the hospital there would have been virtually no chance of saving him. It allowed me to stop some of the 'if only s'
