Come and tell me your dull and unexciting news THE SEQUEL

This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

Ah, maybe that's it then. Fab name btw.

Aquicknamechange2019 · 28/08/2020 06:16

I woke up at 4.30am. I've had a bowl of muesli and a cup of tea. I've just ordered some command hooks from Amazon. May go back to sleep now.

Deathraystare · 28/08/2020 06:41

I already have command hooks and rubbing alcohol (to clean the walls). I bought them ages ago but have done nothing with them.

What is an Eufy?

Deathraystare · 28/08/2020 06:45

I also love this thread, although I am worried about the hectic, breakneck pace of some posters' lives

Yes I am worried that many people do live such exciting lives!
We can also talk about the most mundane things without criticism. I have at last found my people!

I wondered if you were in Scandinavia but cardboardoux sounds a bit French - well, not the cardboard bit;.

cheeseychovolate · 28/08/2020 06:55

I have to get the in-laws shopping today

Deathraystare · 28/08/2020 07:04

cheeseychovolate

Aren't you concerned that it might be a tad bit exciting?

LadySpratt · 28/08/2020 07:18

I’ve had chocolate twice this week and didn’t enjoy it.

LadySpratt · 28/08/2020 07:21

But I went to the gym yesterday and came back starving. As DH hadn’t bought any bread I was stuck for what to eat. So I found some flat breadsticks (opened weeks ago) and made humus. I demolished the humus.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 28/08/2020 07:24

I had to get up at 5am today so made two hard boiled eggs yesterday. I ate them at 5.30, after my shower.

TwoShades1 · 28/08/2020 07:25

I’m contemplating buying some new bed sheets. Have been thinking about it for several months. We don’t actually NEED sheets. I just want new ones.

Somanysocks · 28/08/2020 07:39

It's bin day today. Put the food waste out and the black bag waste, I had to collect rubbish blown into the front garden too. Not enough recycling in the pink bag to put that out yet.

Everything is wet from the horrendous 'showers' yesterday.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 28/08/2020 07:40

Back from the cats - it is cool and overcast.
Workmen in the street busy since 7 am. They are getting concrete down in the yards a house over - it's Friday so they should stop at 2 pm.

almostweekend · 28/08/2020 08:07

I'm on holiday today and will be going to Sainsburys later on (not a misery - I'm at risk of redundancy so can't afford a break away)

Byallmeans · 28/08/2020 08:11

I missed the bin men on Wednesday so I have to go to the tip with one black bin bag.

Byallmeans · 28/08/2020 08:14

The normalcy of this thread is very grounding..

NeedToKnow101 · 28/08/2020 08:17

Almost wore my new dress but decided against it as I feel it would be too warm. Felt annoyed again at the perms-puddle on the bridge over the railway as I'm wearing trainers but managed to keep them dry.

Whohasnickedmyvodka · 28/08/2020 08:26

I'm waiting to what is going to be substituted on my online shopping that is being delivered this afternoon

Cocolapew · 28/08/2020 08:30

My skip is on it's way and it's lashing.

CantKeepSecrets · 28/08/2020 08:36

The name labels for DS1 uniform arrived so I'm in for a thrilling afternoon

SpeedofaSloth · 28/08/2020 08:51

I bought sew-in name labels this year, they take ages so I might do the rest on my sewing machine instead.

I'm other news, DS' new school trousers turned out to be too small but the uniform shop swapped them for a bigger size, even though I had lost the receipt.

drspouse · 28/08/2020 09:26

School shoe appointment for DS today.

HasaDigaEebowai · 28/08/2020 09:30

My brand new mop has just fallen apart after one use. I have bits of string everywhere.

MislaidMyBrain · 28/08/2020 09:38

I’m going to walk up to the library today and return some books that I’ve had since before the lockdown. I’m allowed 15 minutes of browsing time to get some more.
I feel ashamed that I’ve put this news on this thread because it is, of course, highly exciting.
